^{24 (31:25)} Do ye manfully, and let your heart be strengthened, all ye that hope in the Lord.

¹⁴ Expect the Lord, do manfully, and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the Lord.

¹¹ The Lord will give strength to his people: the Lord will bless his people with peace.

³ In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me: thou shalt multiply strength in my soul.

⁵ Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God:

³ Strengthen ye the feeble hands, and confirm the weak knees. ⁴ Say to the fainthearted: Take courage, and fear not: behold your God will bring the revenge of recompense: God himself will come and will save you.

³¹ And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. ³² But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.

¹² And again, Isaias saith: There shall be a root of Jesse; and he that shall rise up to rule the Gentiles, in him the Gentiles shall hope. ¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing: that you may abound in hope and in the power of the Holy Ghost.

¹¹ Strengthened with all might according to the power of his glory, in all patience and longsuffering with joy,

¹² Wherefore, lift up the hands which hang down and the feeble knees: ¹³ And make straight steps with your feet: that no one, halting, may go out of the way; but rather be healed.

¹⁰ Take, my brethren, for example of suffering evil, of labour and patience, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. ¹¹ Behold, we account them blessed who have endured. You have heard of the patience of Job and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is merciful and compassionate.

²¹ Who through him are faithful in God who raised him up from the dead and hath given him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.
