^{7 (19:8)} The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.

⁶ And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart: ⁷ And thou shalt tell them to thy children, and thou shalt meditate upon them sitting in thy house, and walking on thy journey, sleeping and rising. ⁸ And thou shalt bind them as a sign on thy hand, and they shall be and shall move between thy eyes. ⁹ And thou shalt write them in the entry, and on the doors of thy house.

¹⁸ But after he is raised to the throne of his kingdom, he shall copy out to himself the Deuteronomy of this law in a volume, taking the copy of the priests of the Levitical tribe, ¹⁹ And he shall have it with him, and shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, and keep his words and ceremonies, that are commanded in the law; ²⁰ And that his heart be not lifted up with pride over his brethren, nor decline to the right or to the left, that he and his sons may reign a long time over Israel.

⁴ The works of God are perfect, and all his ways are judgments: God is faithful and without any iniquity, he is just and right.

⁸ Let not the book of this law depart from thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate on it day and night, that thou mayst observe and do all things that are written in it: then shalt thou direct thy way, and understand it.

⁵ Neither is my house so great with God, that he should make with me an eternal covenant, firm in all things and assured. For he is all my salvation, and all my will: neither is there ought thereof that springeth not up.

¹² I have not departed from the commandments of his lips, and the words of his mouth I have hid in my bosom.

^{30 (18:31)} As for my God, his way is undefiled: the words of the Lord are fire-tried: he is the protector of all that trust in him.

³ He hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake.

¹ Understanding for Asaph. Attend, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. ² I will open my mouth in parables: I will utter propositions from the beginning. ³ How great things have we heard and known, and our fathers have told us. ⁴ They have not been hidden from their children, in another generation. Declaring the praises of the Lord, and his powers, and his wonders which he hath done. ⁵ And he set up a testimony in Jacob: and made a law in Israel. How great things he commanded our fathers, that they should make the same known to their children: ⁶ That another generation might know them. The children that should be born and should rise up, and declare them to their children. ⁷ That they may put their hope in God and may not forget the works of God: and may seek his commandments.

⁵ Thy testimonies are become exceedingly credible: holiness becometh thy house, O Lord, unto length of days.

⁷ That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment.

⁹ By what doth a young man correct his way? by observing thy words.

¹⁴ I have been delighted in the way of thy testimonies, as in all riches.

²⁴ For thy testimonies are my meditation: and thy justifications my counsel.

⁷² The law of thy mouth is good to me, above thousands of gold and silver.

⁹⁶ I have seen an end of all perfection: thy commandment is exceeding broad. ⁹⁷ O how have I loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day. ⁹⁸ Through thy commandment, thou hast made me wiser than my enemies: for it is ever with me. ⁹⁹ I have understood more than all my teachers: because thy testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I have had understanding above ancients: because I have sought thy commandments.

¹⁰⁵ Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.

¹¹¹ I have purchased thy testimonies for an inheritance for ever: because they are the joy of my heart.

¹²⁷ Therefore have I loved thy commandments above gold and the topaz. ¹²⁸ Therefore was I directed to all thy commandments: I have hated all wicked ways.

¹³⁰ The declaration of thy words giveth light: and giveth understanding to little ones.

¹⁵² I have known from the beginning concerning thy testimonies: that thou hast founded them for ever.

¹⁹ Who declareth his word to Jacob: his justices and his judgments to Israel. ²⁰ He hath not done in like manner to every nation: and his judgments he hath not made manifest to them. Alleluia.

⁴ To give subtilty to little ones, to the young man knowledge and understanding.

²² O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which are hurtful to themselves, and the unwise hate knowledge? ²³ Turn ye at my reproof: behold I will utter my spirit to you, and will shew you my words.

¹⁶ Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

²⁰ To the law rather, and to the testimony. And if they speak not according to this word, they shall not have the morning light.

³² And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth: and no man receiveth his testimony. ³³ He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

³⁹ Search the scriptures: for you think in them to have life everlasting. And the same are they that give testimony of me.

⁴³ To him all the prophets give testimony, that by his name all receive remission of sins, who believe in him.

² Much every way. First indeed, because the words of God were committed to them.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and the acceptable and the perfect will of God.

⁴ For what things soever were written were written for our learning: that, through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly: in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual canticles, singing in grace in your hearts to God.

⁸ Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but labour with the gospel, according to the power of God.

¹⁹ But the sure foundation of God standeth firm, having this seal: the Lord knoweth who are his; and let every one depart from iniquity who nameth the name of the Lord.

¹⁵ And because from thy infancy thou hast known the holy scriptures which can instruct thee to salvation by the faith which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in justice: ¹⁷ That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work.

¹⁸ That by two immutable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have the strongest comfort, we who have fled for refuge to hold fast the hope set before us. ¹⁹ Which we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, and which entereth in even within the veil:

¹⁷ Every best gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change nor shadow of alteration.

²¹ Wherefore, casting away all uncleanness and abundance of naughtiness, with meekness receive the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls. ²² But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. ²³ For if a man be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he shall be compared to a man beholding his own countenance in a glass. ²⁴ For he beheld himself and went his way and presently forgot what manner of man he was. ²⁵ But he that hath looked into the perfect law of liberty and hath continued therein, not becoming a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work: this man shall be blessed in his deed.

⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony of God, which is greater, because he hath testified of his Son. ¹⁰ He that believeth in the Son of God hath the testimony of God in himself. He that believeth not the Son maketh him a liar: because he believeth not in the testimony which God hath testified of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony that God hath given to us eternal life. And this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son hath not life.

¹⁰ And I fell down before his feet, to adore him. And he saith to me: See thou do it not. I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Adore God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
