¹ A psalm for David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?

¹ Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence: ² But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree which is planted near the running waters, which shall bring forth its fruit, in due season. And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whatsoever he shall do shall prosper. ⁴ Not so the wicked, not so: but like the dust, which the wind driveth from the face of the earth.

⁶ But I am appointed king by him over Sion, his holy mountain, preaching his commandment.

^{4 (3:5)} I have cried to the Lord with my voice: and he hath heard me from his holy hill.

^{3 (21:4)} For thou hast prevented him with blessings of sweetness: thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones. ^{4 (21:5)} He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever. ^{5 (21:6)} His glory is great in thy salvation: glory and great beauty shalt thou lay upon him.

⁶ And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.

³ Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place? ⁴ The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour. ⁵ He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour.

⁴ One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple. ⁵ For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle. ⁶ He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.

³ Sent forth thy light and thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles. ⁴ And I will go in to the altar of God: to God who giveth joy to my youth. ^(43:5) To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp:

¹ For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are the holy mountains: ² The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob. ³ Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.

³ Jesus answered and said to him: Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ⁴ Nicodemus saith to him: How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born again? ⁵ Jesus answered: Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

³ And if I shall go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself: that where I am, you also may be.

²⁴ Father, I will that where I am, they also whom thou hast given me may be with me: that they may see my glory which thou hast given me, because thou hast loved me before the creation of the world.

²² But you are come to mount Sion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the company of many thousands of angels,

¹⁴ And I said to him: My Lord, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who are come out of great tribulation and have washed their robes and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God: and they serve him day and night in his temple. And he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell over them. ¹⁶ They shall no more hunger nor thirst: neither shall the sun fall on them, nor any heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb, which is in the midst of the throne, shall rule them and shall lead them to the fountains of the waters of life: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹ And I beheld: and lo a Lamb stood upon mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty-four thousand, having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.

³ And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men: and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people: and God himself with them shall be their God. ⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more. Nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.

²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it. For the glory of God hath enlightened it: and the Lamb is the lamp thereof. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honour into it.
