¹ Praise ye the Lord in his holy places: praise ye him in the firmament of his power. ² Praise ye him for his mighty acts: praise ye him according to the multitude of his greatness. ³ Praise him with the sound of trumpet: praise him with psaltery and harp. ⁴ Praise him with timbrel and choir: praise him with strings and organs. ⁵ Praise him on high sounding cymbals: praise him on cymbals of joy: ⁶ Let every spirit praise the Lord. ⁶ And God said: Let there be a firmament made amidst the waters: and let it divide the waters from the waters. ⁷ And god made a firmament, and divided the waters that were under the firmament, from those that were above the firmament, and it was so. ⁸ And God called the firmament, Heaven; and the evening and morning were the second day.

¹ Moreover David and the chief officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Idithun: to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries, and with cymbals according to their number serving in their appointed office.

⁶ All these under their father's hand were distributed to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, and psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord near the king: to wit, Asaph, and Idithun, and Heman.

¹² They take the timbrel, and the harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.

⁴ For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

⁵ Sing praise to the Lord on the harp, on the harp, and with the voice of a psalm: ⁶ With long trumpets, and sound of cornet. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king:

⁵ They shall speak of the magnificence of the glory of thy holiness: and shall tell thy wondrous works. ⁶ And they shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and shall declare thy greatness.

¹⁰ Let all thy works, O lord, praise thee: and let thy saints bless thee.

¹² To make thy might known to the sons of men: and the glory of the magnificence of thy kingdom.

²¹ My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name forever; yea, for ever and ever.

⁷ Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all ye deeps: ⁸ Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy winds, which fulfil his word: ⁹ Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars: ¹⁰ Beasts and all cattle: serpents and feathered fowls: ¹¹ Kings of the earth and all people: princes and all judges of the earth:

¹ Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: let his praise be in the church of the saints.

³ Let them praise his name in choir: let them sing to him with the timbrel and the psaltery.

²⁰ O Lord, save me, and we will sing our psalms all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.

¹⁷ Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, behold thou hast made heaven and earth by thy great power, and thy stretched out arm: no word shall be hard to thee: ¹⁸ Thou shewest mercy unto thousands, and returnest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: O most mighty, great, and powerful, the Lord of hosts is thy name. ¹⁹ Great in counsel, and incomprehensible in thought: whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the children of Adam, to render unto every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his devices.

²² And over the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of the firmament, the appearance of crystal terrible to behold, and stretched out over their heads above. ²³ And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other, every one with two wings covered his body, and the other was covered in like manner. ²⁴ And I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, as it were the voice of the most high God: when they walked, it was like the voice of a multitude, like the noise of an army, and when they stood, their wings were let down. ²⁵ For when a voice came from above the firmament, that was over their heads, they stood, and let down their wings. ²⁶ And above the firmament that was over their heads, was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of the sapphire stone, and upon the likeness of the throne, was the likeness of the appearance of a man above upon it.

¹ And I saw and behold in the firmament that was over the heads of the cherubims, there appeared over them as it were the sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

⁵ That in the hour that you shall hear the sound of the trumpet, and of the flute, and of the harp, of the sackbut, and of the psaltery, and of the symphony, and of all kind of music, ye fall down and adore the golden statue which king Nabuchodonosor hath set up.

³ But they that are learned, shall shine as the brightness of the firmament: and they that instruct many to justice, as stars for all eternity.

¹⁹ The Lord God is my strength: and he will make my feet like the feet of harts: and he the conqueror will lead me upon my high places singing psalms.

¹³ And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard all saying: To him that sitteth on the throne and to the Lamb, benediction and honour and glory and power, for ever and ever.

³ And singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and the canticle of the Lamb, saying: Great and wonderful are thy works, O Lord God Almighty. Just and true are thy ways, O King of ages. ⁴ Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and magnify thy name? For thou only art holy. For all nations shall come and shall adore in thy sight, because thy judgments are manifest.
