² Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: and let the children of Sion be joyful in their king.

⁶ Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God. The Lord thy God hath chosen thee, to be his peculiar people of all peoples that are upon the earth. ⁷ Not because you surpass all nations in number, is the Lord joined unto you, and hath chosen you, for you are the fewest of any people:

⁷ And you shall eat there in the sight of the Lord your God: and you shall rejoice in all things, whereunto you shall put your hand, you and your houses wherein the Lord your God hath blessed you.

²² And the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because the Lord hath sworn to make you his people.

¹⁰ And he hath not said: Where is God, who made me, who hath given songs in the night?

⁶ Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us.

¹ A psalm of praise. ^(100:2) Sing joyfully to God, all the earth: ² Serve ye the Lord with gladness. Come in before his presence with exceeding great joy. ³ Know ye that the Lord he is God: he made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

³ Praise ye the Lord, for the Lord is good: sing ye to his name, for it is sweet. ⁴ For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: Israel for his own possession.

⁷ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign!

⁵ For he that made thee shall rule over thee, the Lord of hosts is his name: and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, shall be called the God of all the earth.

¹¹ Behold the Lord hath made it to be heard in the ends of the earth, tell the daughter of Sion: Behold thy Saviour cometh: behold his reward is with him, and his work before him. ¹² And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord. But thou shalt be called: A city sought after, and not forsaken.

²³ And you, O children of Sion, rejoice, and be joyful in the Lord your God: because he hath given you a teacher of justice, and he will make the early and the latter rain to come down to you as in the beginning.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Sion, shout for joy, O daughter of Jerusalem: BEHOLD THY KING will come to thee, the just and saviour: he is poor, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt, the foal of an ass.

⁵ Tell ye the daughter of Sion: Behold thy king cometh to thee, meek and sitting upon an ass and a colt, the foal of her that is used to the yoke.

³⁴ Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

²⁷ But as for those my enemies, who would not have me reign over them, bring them hither and kill them before me.

³⁸ Saying: Blessed be the king who cometh in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory on high!

¹⁵ But they cried out: Away with him: Away with him: Crucify him. Pilate saith to them: shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered: We have no king but Caesar.

¹⁹ And Pilate wrote a title also: and he put it upon the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. ²⁰ This title therefore many of the Jews did read: because the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city. And it was written in Hebrew, in Greek, and in Latin. ²¹ Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate: Write not: The King of the Jews. But that he said: I am the King of the Jews. ²² Pilate answered: What I have written, I have written.

³ For we are the circumcision, who in spirit serve God and glory in Christ Jesus, not having confidence in the flesh.

⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of great thunders, saying: Alleluia: for the Lord our God, the Almighty, hath reigned.
