⁷ For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.

⁴ Great is my confidence for you: great is my glorying for you. I am filled with comfort: I exceedingly abound with joy in all our tribulation.

¹³ Before God: therefore we were comforted. But in our consolation we did the more abundantly rejoice for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.

³ Being mindful of the work of your faith and labour and charity: and of the enduring of the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ before God and our Father.

¹³ Therefore, we also give thanks to God without ceasing: because, that when you had received of us the word of the hearing of God, you received it not as the word of men, but (as it is indeed) the word of God, who worketh in you that have believed.

¹⁹ For what is our hope or joy or crown of glory? Are not you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

⁹ For what thanks can we return to God for you, in all the joy wherewith we rejoice for you before our God,

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus: because he hath often refreshed me and hath not been ashamed of my chain:

²⁰ Yea, brother. May I enjoy thee in the Lord! Refresh my bowels in the Lord.

⁴ I was exceeding glad that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

³ I was exceedingly glad when the brethren came and gave testimony to the truth in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. ⁴ I have no greater grace than this, to hear that my children walk in truth. ⁵ Dearly beloved, thou dost faithfully whatever thou dost for the brethren: and that for strangers, ⁶ Who have given testimony to thy charity in the sight of the church. Whom thou shalt do well to bring forward on their way in a manner worthy of God:
