⁴⁷ Wherefore, I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.

⁶ And when he passed before him, he said: O the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, patient and of much compassion, and true, ⁷ Who keepest mercy unto thousands: who takest away iniquity, and wickedness, and sin, and no man of himself is innocent before thee. Who renderest the iniquity of the fathers to the children, and to the grandchildren unto the third and fourth generation.

¹⁸ And then come, and accuse me, saith the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if they be red as crimson, they shall be white as wool.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unjust man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God: for he is bountiful to forgive.

⁶³ That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and mayest no more open thy mouth because of thy confusion, when I shall be pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God.

²⁹ And I will save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for corn, and will multiply it, and will lay no famine upon you. ³⁰ And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that you bear no more the reproach of famine among the nations. ³¹ And you shall remember your wicked ways, and your doings that were not good: and your iniquities, and your wicked deeds shall displease you. ³² It is not for your sakes that I will do this, saith the Lord God, be it known to you: be confounded, and ashamed at your own ways, O house of Israel.

¹⁹ He will turn again, and have mercy on us: he will put away our iniquities: and he will cast all our sins into the bottom of the sea.

³⁷ He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.

²⁰ Whose faith when he saw, he said: Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. ²¹ And the scribes and Pharisees began to think, saying: Who is this who speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

³⁹ And the Pharisee, who had invited him, seeing it, spoke within himself, saying: This man, if he were if a prophet, would know surely who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.

⁴² And whereas they had not wherewith to pay, he forgave them both. Which therefore of the two loveth him most? ⁴³ Simon answering, said: I suppose that he to whom he forgave most. And he said to him: Thou hast judged rightly.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He saith to him again: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith to him: yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs. ¹⁷ He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep.

³¹ Him hath God exalted with his right hand, to be Prince and Saviour. to give repentance to Israel and remission of sins.

²⁰ Now the law entered in that sin might abound. And where sin abounded, grace did more abound.

⁹ Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: Neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers: ¹⁰ Nor the effeminate nor liers with mankind nor thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor railers nor extortioners shall possess the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such some of you were. But you are washed: but you are sanctified: but you are justified: in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God.

¹⁴ For the charity of Christ presseth us: judging this, that if one died for all, then all were dead.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing nor uncircumcision: but faith that worketh by Charity.

²⁴ Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption. Amen.

⁹ And this I pray: That your charity may more and more abound in knowledge and in all understanding:

¹⁴ Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he also is in the light, we have fellowship one with another: And the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word nor in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

¹⁹ Let us therefore love God: because God first hath loved us.

³ For this is the charity of God: That we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not heavy.
