¹⁹ Where is the way where light dwelleth, and where is the place of darkness?

³ And God said: Be light made. And light was made. ⁴ And God saw the light that it was good; and he divided the light from the darkness.

¹⁴ And God said: Let there be lights made in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day and the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: ¹⁵ To shine in the firmament of heaven, and to give light upon the earth, and it was so done. ¹⁶ And God made two great lights: a greater light to rule the day; and a lesser light to rule the night: and The stars. ¹⁷ And he set them in the firmament of heaven to shine upon the earth. ¹⁸ And to rule the day and the night, and to divide the light and the darkness. ¹⁹ Lest perhaps lifting up thy eyes to heaven, thou see the sun and the moon, and all the stars of heaven, and being deceived by error thou adore and serve them, which the Lord thy God created for the service of all the nations, that are under heaven.

¹² Didst thou since thy birth command the morning, and shew the dawning of the day its place? ¹³ And didst thou hold the extremities of the earth shaking them, and hast thou shaken the ungodly out of it?

²⁰ Thou hast appointed darkness, and it is night: in it shall all the beasts of the woods go about:

²⁸ He sent darkness, and made it obscure: and grieved not his words.

⁷ I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord that do all these things.
