¹⁹ Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners: but you are fellow citizens with the saints and the domestics of God,

²⁵ It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the good man of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household?

²⁶ For you are all the children of God, by faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ have put on Christ. ²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek: there is neither bond nor free: there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

²⁶ But that Jerusalem which is above is free: which is our mother. ²⁷ For it is written: Rejoice, thou barren, that bearest not: break forth and cry thou that travailest not: for many are the children of the desolate, more than of her that hath a husband. ²⁸ Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. ²⁹ But as then he that was born according to the flesh persecuted him that was after the spirit: so also it is now. ³⁰ But what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman. ³¹ So then, brethren, we are not the children of the bondwoman but of the free: by the freedom wherewith Christ has made us free.

¹⁰ Therefore, whilst we have time, let us work good to all men, but especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

¹² That you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the conversation of Israel and strangers to the testament, having no hope of the promise and without God in this world.

⁶ That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body: and copartners of his promise in Christ Jesus, by the gospel

¹⁵ Of whom all paternity in heaven and earth is named:

²⁰ But our conversation is in heaven: from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹³ All these died according to faith, not having received the promises but beholding them afar off and saluting them and confessing that they are pilgrims and strangers on the earth.

²² But you are come to mount Sion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the company of many thousands of angels, ²³ And to the church of the firstborn who are written in the heavens, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the just made perfect, ²⁴ And to Jesus the mediator of the new testament, and to the sprinkling of blood which speaketh better than that of Abel.

¹ Behold what manner of charity the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called and should be the sons of God. Therefore the world knoweth not us, because it knew not him.

And he measured the city with the golden reed for twelve thousand furlongs: and the length and the height and the breadth thereof are equal. ¹⁷ And he measured the wall thereof an hundred forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is of an angel. ¹⁸ And the building of the wall thereof was of jasper stone: but the city itself pure gold like to clear glass. ¹⁹ And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper: the second, sapphire: the third; a chalcedony: the fourth, an emerald: ²⁰ The fifth, sardonyx: the sixth, sardius: the seventh, chrysolite: the eighth, beryl: the ninth, a topaz: the tenth, a chrysoprasus: the eleventh, a jacinth: the twelfth, an amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates are twelve pearls, one to each: and every several gate was of one several pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, as it were, transparent glass. ²² And I saw no temple therein. For the Lord God Almighty is the temple thereof, and the Lamb. ²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it. For the glory of God hath enlightened it: and the Lamb is the lamp thereof. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honour into it. ²⁵ And the gates thereof shall not be shut by day: for there shall be no night there. ²⁶ And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
