⁷ For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good land, of brooks and of waters, and of fountains: in the plains of which and the hills deep rivers break out:

⁸ And knowing their sorrow, I am come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians, and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, into a land that floweth with milk and honey, to the places of the Chanaanite, and Hethite, and Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite.

¹⁰ And when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land, for which he swore to thy fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: and shall have given thee great and goodly cities, which thou didst not build, ¹¹ Houses full of riches, which thou didst not set up, cisterns which thou didst not dig, vineyards and oliveyards, which thou didst not plant,

⁹ And may live in it a long time: which the Lord promised by oath to your fathers, and to their seed, a land which floweth with milk and honey. ¹⁰ For the land, which thou goest to possess, is not like the land of Egypt, from whence thou camest out, where, when the seed is sown, waters are brought in to water it after the manner of gardens. ¹¹ But it is a land of hills and plains, expecting rain from heaven. ¹² And the Lord thy God doth always visit it, and his eyes are on it from the beginning of the year unto the end thereof.

²⁴ And the children came and possessed the land, and thou didst humble before them the inhabitants of the land, the Chanaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as it pleased them. ²⁵ And they took strong cities and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods: cisterns made by others, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: and they ate, and were filled, and became fat, and abounded with delight in thy great goodness.

^{9 (65:10)} Thou hast visited the earth, and hast plentifully watered it; thou hast many ways enriched it. The river of God is filled with water, thou hast prepared their food: for so is its preparation. ^{10 (65:11)} Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers. ^{11 (65:12)} Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty. ^{12 (65:13)} The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy, ^{13 (65:14)} The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.

⁶ In that day I lifted up my hand for them to bring them out of the land of Egypt, into a land which I had provided for them, flowing with milk and honey, which excelled amongst all lands.
