¹⁵ This is the sum of the expenses, which king Solomon offered to build the house of the Lord, and his own house, and Mello, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Heser, and Mageddo, and Gazer.

²⁹ Ephraim also did not slay the Chanaanite that dwelt in Gazer, bnt dwelt with him.

² And the Lord delivered them up into the hands of Jabin, king of Chanaan, who reigned in Asor: and he had a general of his army named Sisara, and he dwelt in Haroseth of the Gentiles.

¹⁹ The kings came and fought, the kings of Chanaan fought in Thanac, by the waters of Mageddo and yet they took no spoils.

²⁷ But Ochozias, king of Juda, seeing this, fled by the way of the garden house: and Jehu pursued him, and said: Strike him also in his chariot. And they struck him in the going up to Gaver, which is by Jeblaam: and he fled into Mageddo, and died there.

²⁰ And his servants arose, and conspired among themselves, and slew Joas, in the house of Mello, in the descent of Sella.

²⁹ In his days Pharao Nechao, king of Egypt, went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josias went to meet him: and was slain at Mageddo, when he had seen him. ³⁰ And his servants carried him dead from Mageddo: and they brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Joachaz, the son of Josias: and they anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.

⁶⁷ And they gave the cities of refuge Sichem with its suburbs in mount Ephraim, and Gazer with its suburbs,

⁴ After this there arose a war at Gazer against the Philistines: in which Sabachai the Husathite slew Saphai of the race of Raphaim, and humbled them.

¹ And at the end of twenty years after Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house:

²² Josias would not return, but prepared to fight against him, and hearkened not to the words of Nechao from the mouth of God, but went to fight in the field of Mageddo.

^{18 (51:20)} Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.

¹¹ In that day there shall be a great lamentation in Jerusalem like the lamentation of Adadremmon in the plain of Mageddon.
