² And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

For Assur shall take thee captive. ²³ And taking up his parable, again he said: Alas, who shall live when God shall do these things? ²⁴ They shall come in galleys from Italy, they shall overcome the Assyrians, and shall waste the Hebrews, and at the last they themselves also shall perish.

²² Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name? ²³ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

¹¹ Who answered and said to them: Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven: but to them it is not given.

^{20 (17:19)} Jesus said to them: Because of your unbelief. For, amen I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain: Remove from hence hither, and it shall remove: and nothing shall be impossible to you.

¹⁹ And seeing a certain fig tree by the way side, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves only. And he saith to it: May no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And immediately the fig tree withered away.

²¹ And Jesus answering, said to them: Amen, I say to you, if you shall have faith and stagger not, not only this of the fig tree shall you do, but also if you shall say to this mountain, Take up and cast thyself into the sea, it shall be done.

²² And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God. ²³ Amen I say to you that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not stagger in his heart, but be believe that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him.

⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord: Increase our faith. ⁶ And the Lord said: If you had faith like to a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this mulberry tree: Be thou rooted up and be thou transplanted into the sea. And it would obey you.

²⁵ For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, of this mystery (lest you should be wise in your own conceits) that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles should come in.

²⁵ Now to him that is able to establish you, according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret from eternity;

¹ Let a man so account of us as of the ministers of Christ and the dispensers of the mysteries of God.

¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing: but the observance of the commandments of God.

⁴ But as for the meats that are sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no God but one.

⁸ To one indeed, by the Spirit, is given the word of wisdom: and to another, the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit: ⁹ To another, faith in the same spirit: to another, the grace of healing in one Spirit: ¹⁰ To another the working of miracles: to another, prophecy: to another, the discerning of spirits: to another, diverse kinds of tongues: to another, interpretation of speeches.

²⁸ And God indeed hath set some in the church; first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly doctors: after that miracles: then the graces of healings, helps, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretations of speeches.

¹ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

³ And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

¹ Follow after charity, be zealous for spiritual gifts; but rather that you may prophesy. ² For he that speaketh in a tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man heareth. Yet by the Spirit he speaketh mysteries.

⁶ But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either in revelation or in knowledge or in prophecy or in doctrine? ⁷ Even things without life that give sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction of sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? ⁸ For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? ⁹ So likewise you, except you utter by the tongue plain speech, how shall it be known what is said? For you shall be speaking into the air.

³⁹ Wherefore, brethren, be zealous to prophesy: and forbid not to speak with tongues.

²² If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha.

¹¹ I am become foolish. You have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended by you. For I have no way come short of them that are above measure apostles, although I be nothing.

¹⁶ I say then: Walk in the spirit: and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity,

³ For if any man think himself to be some thing, whereas he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

⁴ As you reading, may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,

¹⁹ And for me, that speech may be given me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

²⁶ The mystery which hath been hidden from ages and generations, but now is manifested to his saints,

¹⁶ And evidently great is the mystery of godliness, which was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the spirit, appeared unto angels, hath been preached unto the Gentiles, is believed in the world, is taken up in glory.

⁸ He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is charity.

²⁰ If any man say: I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he seeth, how can he love God whom he seeth not? ²¹ And this commandment we have from God, that he who loveth God love also his brother.
