⁷ ?God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.

³ And Moses said to Aaron, This is what Jehovah spoke, saying, I will be hallowed in them that come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron was silent.

² For Jehovah, the Most High, is terrible, a great king over all the earth.

⁷ Thou, thou art to be feared, and who can stand before thee when once thou art angry? ⁸ Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from the heavens; the earth feared, and was still, ⁹ When God rose up to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah. ¹⁰ For the fury of man shall praise thee; the remainder of fury wilt thou gird on thyself. ¹¹ Vow and pay unto Jehovah your God: let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that is to be feared.

² Seraphim were standing above him: each had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he flew. ³ And one called to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory! ⁴ And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ And I said, Woe unto me! for I am undone; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts. ⁶ And one of the seraphim flew unto me, and he had in his hand a glowing coal, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar; ⁷ and he made it touch my mouth, and said, Behold, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin expiated.

² Even all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.

⁷ Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? For to thee doth it appertain; for among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.

¹⁰ But Jehovah Elohim is truth; he is the living God, and the King of eternity. At his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations cannot abide his indignation.

²⁸ And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but fear rather him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

⁴ But I say to you, my friends, Fear not those who kill the body and after this have no more that they can do. ⁵ But I will shew you whom ye shall fear: Fear him who after he has killed has authority to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, Fear *him*.

¹¹ And great fear came upon all the assembly, and upon all who heard these things.

²⁸ Wherefore let us, receiving a kingdom not to be shaken, have grace, by which let us serve God acceptably with reverence and fear. ²⁹ For also our God [is] a consuming fire.

³ And they sing the song of Moses bondman of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and wonderful [are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; righteous and true [are] thy ways, O King of nations. ⁴ Who shall not fear [thee], O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy; for all nations shall come and do homage before thee; for thy righteousnesses have been made manifest.
