²⁹ And Moses said to him, When I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Jehovah: the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is Jehovah`s.

⁶ And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah to its place, into the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim;

¹¹ Thine, Jehovah, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the splendour, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is thine: thine, Jehovah, is the kingdom, and thou art exalted as Head above all;

³⁰ If I washed myself with snow-water, and cleansed my hands in purity,

⁹ But the righteous shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall increase in strength.

⁴ Where wast thou when I founded the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.

⁸ And who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst forth, issuing out of the womb? ⁹ When I made the cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it; ¹⁰ When I cut out for it my boundary, and set bars and doors, ¹¹ And said, Hitherto shalt thou come and no further, and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

¹ {A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tent? who shall dwell in the hill of thy holiness?

⁴ In whose eyes the depraved person is contemned, and who honoureth them that fear Jehovah; who, if he have sworn to his own hurt, changeth it not;

²⁰ Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

¹ {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} The king shall joy in thy strength, Jehovah; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice.

⁵ His glory is great through thy salvation; majesty and splendour hast thou laid upon him.

³⁰ A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

¹ {[A Psalm] of David.} Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocency, and will encompass thine altar, O Jehovah,

⁸ My heart said for thee, Seek ye my face. Thy face, O Jehovah, will I seek.

⁶ By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

³ Gird thy sword upon [thy] thigh, O mighty one, [in] thy majesty and thy splendour; ⁴ And [in] thy splendour ride prosperously, because of truth and meekness [and] righteousness: and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. ⁵ Thine arrows are sharp -- peoples fall under thee -- in the heart of the king`s enemies. ⁶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; a sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom:

⁴ Blessed is he whom thou choosest and causest to approach: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, of thy holy temple.

⁶ The earth will yield her increase; God, our God, will bless us: ⁷ God will bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

⁴ Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;

¹ {A Song of degrees.} Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, that walketh in his ways. ² For thou shalt eat the labour of thy hands; happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. ³ Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine in the inner part of thy house; thy children like olive-plants round about thy table. ⁴ Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth Jehovah. ⁵ Jehovah will bless thee out of Zion; and mayest thou see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life,

⁸ Arise, Jehovah, into thy rest, thou and the ark of thy strength.

¹³ For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his dwelling: ¹⁴ This is my rest for ever; here will I dwell, for I have desired it.

⁸ Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning, for in thee do I confide; make me to know the way wherein I should walk, for unto thee do I lift up my soul.

⁹ Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. ¹⁶ Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; -- cease to do evil,

³ And one called to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory! ⁴ And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ And I said, Woe unto me! for I am undone; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name is called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty ?God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.

² Behold, ?God is my salvation: I will trust, and not be afraid; for Jah, Jehovah, is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation.

²⁴ In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth; ²⁵ whom Jehovah of hosts will bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance!

⁵ My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the peoples: the isles shall wait for me, and in mine arm shall they trust. ⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall grow old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner; but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

⁸ For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

¹⁰ Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath subjected [him] to suffering. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see a seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.

⁵ For thy Maker is thy husband: Jehovah of hosts is his name, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: the God of the whole earth shall he be called.

¹⁷ No weapon that is prepared against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that riseth against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah; and their righteousness is of me, saith Jehovah.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with the priestly turban, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

¹ Who is this that cometh from Edom, with deep-red garments from Bozrah, this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? -- I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. ² -- Wherefore is redness in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat? ³ I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the peoples not a man was with me; and I have trodden them in mine anger, and trampled them in my fury; and their blood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all mine apparel. ⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed had come. ⁵ And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: and mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. ⁶ And I have trodden down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury; and their blood have I brought down to the earth.

¹⁴ Wash thy heart, Jerusalem, from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

² And if they say, [As] Jehovah liveth! surely they swear falsely.

²² Will ye not fear me? saith Jehovah. Will ye not tremble at my presence, who have set the sand a bound for the sea by a perpetual decree, and it shall not pass it? and its waves toss themselves, but they do not prevail; and they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

⁹ What? steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not ... ¹⁰ then ye come and stand before me, in this house which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered, -- in order to do all these abominations!

¹¹ Thus shall ye say unto them: The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens. ¹² He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his understanding. ¹³ When he uttereth his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the end of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries. ¹⁴ Every man is become brutish, bereft of knowledge; every founder is put to shame by the graven image, for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. ¹⁵ They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. ¹⁶ The portion of Jacob is not like them; for it is he that hath formed all [things], and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: Jehovah of hosts is his name.

⁶ -- he hath not eaten upon the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour`s wife, nor come near to a woman in her separation,

³ He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his strength he wrestled with God. ⁴ Yea, he wrestled with the Angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us, ⁵ -- even Jehovah, the God of hosts, -- Jehovah is his memorial.

⁷ and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁸ For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After the glory, hath he sent me unto the nations that made you a spoil; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. ⁹ For behold, I will shake my hand upon them, and they shall become a spoil to those that served them: and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me. ¹⁰ Sing aloud and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah. ¹¹ And many nations shall join themselves to Jehovah in that day, and shall be unto me for a people; and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

³ And he said unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole land: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off according to it on this side; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off according to it on that side. ⁴ I will cause it to go forth, saith Jehovah of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name; and it shall lodge in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

¹ Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me; and the Lord whom ye seek will suddenly come to his temple, and the Angel of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁵ And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hired servant in [his] wages, the widow and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger [from his right], and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

³ Blessed [are] the poor in spirit, for *theirs* is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ Blessed they that mourn, for *they* shall be comforted. ⁵ Blessed the meek, for *they* shall inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for *they* shall be filled. ⁷ Blessed the merciful, for *they* shall find mercy. ⁸ Blessed the pure in heart, for *they* shall see God.

³⁴ Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from [the] world`s foundation:

¹⁹ The Lord therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God.

²⁶ For whosoever shall have been ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed when he shall come in his glory, and [in that] of the Father, and of the holy angels.

¹⁷ For if by the offence of the one death reigned by the one, much rather shall those who receive the abundance of grace, and of the free gift of righteousness, reign in life by the one Jesus Christ:) ¹⁸ so then as [it was] by one offence towards all men to condemnation, so by one righteousness towards all men for justification of life.

³⁰ But of him are *ye* in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption;

⁸ which none of the princes of this age knew, (for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;)

²⁶ For the earth [is] the Lord`s and its fulness.

²¹ Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that *we* might become God`s righteousness in him.

¹ Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us purify ourselves from every pollution of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God`s fear.

⁹ So that they who are on the principle of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

¹⁴ that the blessing of Abraham might come to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

⁵ For we, by [the] Spirit, on the principle of faith, await the hope of righteousness.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ;

⁸ Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men. ⁹ But that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended is the same who has also ascended up above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;

⁹ and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith,

¹⁵ having spoiled principalities and authorities, he made a show of them publicly, leading them in triumph by it.

¹⁰ fornicators, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, perjurers; and if any other thing is opposed to sound teaching,

⁸ I will therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up pious hands, without wrath or reasoning.

¹⁰ not robbing [their masters], but shewing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the teaching which [is] of our Saviour God in all things. ¹¹ For the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared, ¹² teaching us that, having denied impiety and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and justly, and piously in the present course of things, ¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

⁴ But when the kindness and love to man of our Saviour God appeared, ⁵ not on the principle of works which [have been done] in righteousness which *we* had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us through [the] washing of regeneration and renewal of [the] Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

²² but ye have come to mount Zion; and to [the] city of [the] living God, heavenly Jerusalem; and to myriads of angels, ²³ the universal gathering; and to [the] assembly of the firstborn [who are] registered in heaven; and to God, judge of all; and to [the] spirits of just [men] made perfect; ²⁴ and to Jesus, mediator of a new covenant; and to [the] blood of sprinkling, speaking better than Abel.

²⁸ Wherefore let us, receiving a kingdom not to be shaken, have grace, by which let us serve God acceptably with reverence and fear.

¹ My brethren, do not have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [Lord] of glory, with respect of persons:

⁸ Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse [your] hands, sinners, and purify [your] hearts, ye double-minded.

⁹ But *ye* [are] a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;

⁹ not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing [others], because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.

²² who is at [the] right hand of God, gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being subjected to him.

⁵ For this is hidden from them through their own wilfulness, that heavens were of old, and an earth, having its subsistence out of water and in water, by the word of God, ⁶ through which [waters] the then world, deluged with water, perished. ⁷ But the present heavens and the earth by his word are laid up in store, kept for fire unto a day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

¹⁸ but grow in grace, and in [the] knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and to [the] day of eternity. Amen.

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O our Lord and [our] God, to receive glory and honour and power; for *thou* hast created all things, and for thy will they were, and they have been created.

² And I saw: and behold, a white horse, and he that sat upon it having a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and that he might conquer.

¹¹ And I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and one sitting on it, [called] Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war in righteousness. ¹² And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head many diadems, having a name written which no one knows but himself; ¹³ and [he is] clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which [are] in the heaven followed him upon white horses, clad in white, pure, fine linen. ¹⁵ And out of his mouth goes a sharp [two-edged] sword, that with it he might smite the nations; and he shall shepherd them with an iron rod; and he treads the wine-press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. ¹⁶ And he has upon his garment, and upon his thigh, a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords. ¹⁷ And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come, gather yourselves to the great supper of God, ¹⁸ that ye may eat flesh of kings, and flesh of chiliarchs, and flesh of strong men, and flesh of horses and of those that sit upon them, and flesh of all, both free and bond, and small and great. ¹⁹ And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army. ²⁰ And the beast was taken, and the false prophet that [was] with him, who wrought the signs before him by which he deceived them that received the mark of the beast, and those that worship his image. Alive were both cast into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone; ²¹ and the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which goes out of his mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

¹ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea exists no more. ² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a loud voice out of the heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he shall tabernacle with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, their God. ⁴ And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall not exist any more, nor grief, nor cry, nor distress shall exist any more, for the former things have passed away.

²⁷ And nothing common, nor that maketh an abomination and a lie, shall at all enter into it; but those only who [are] written in the book of life of the Lamb.

¹⁴ Blessed [are] they that wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life, and that they should go in by the gates into the city. ¹⁵ Without [are] the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loves and makes a lie.
