¹² If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not, will not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that preserveth thy soul, he knoweth it; and he rendereth to man according to his work.

⁶ Jehovah killeth, and maketh alive; he bringeth down to Sheol, and bringeth up.

⁷ But Jehovah said to Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have rejected him; for it is not as man seeth; for man looketh upon the outward appearance, but Jehovah looketh upon the heart.

²⁹ And if a man is risen up to pursue thee and to seek thy life, the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with Jehovah thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out from the hollow of the sling.

¹¹ For a man`s work will he render to him, and cause every one to find according to [his] way.

⁹ Oh let the wrong of the wicked come to an end, and establish thou the righteous [man]; even thou that triest the hearts and reins, the righteous God.

³ Thou hast proved my heart, thou hast visited me by night; thou hast tried me, thou hast found nothing: my thought goeth not beyond my word.

²¹ Would not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

¹² And unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] loving-kindness; for *thou* renderest to every man according to his work.

⁹ Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

³ He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

⁸ Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.

²¹ For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah, and he pondereth all his paths.

² Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; but Jehovah weigheth the hearts.

⁸ If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter; for a higher than the high is watching, and there are higher than they.

¹⁰ I Jehovah search the heart, I try the reins, even to give each one according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

¹⁹ great in counsel and mighty in work, whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the children of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

²³ but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of the heavens; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou and thy nobles, thy wives and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

²⁷ For the Son of man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to each according to his doings.

²⁸ for in him we live and move and exist; as also some of the poets amongst you have said, For we are also his offspring.

⁶ who shall render to each according to his works:

¹⁶ in [the] day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my glad tidings, by Jesus Christ.

⁵ So that do not judge anything before [the] time, until the Lord shall come, who shall also both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and shall make manifest the counsels of hearts; and then shall each have [his] praise from God.

¹⁰ For we must all be manifested before the judgment-seat of the Christ, that each may receive the things [done] in the body, according to those he has done, whether [it be] good or evil.

¹² For the word of God [is] living and operative, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and penetrating to [the] division of soul and spirit, both of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of [the] heart. ¹³ And there is not a creature unapparent before him; but all things [are] naked and laid bare to his eyes, with whom we have to do.

¹⁸ and the living one: and I became dead, and behold, I am living to the ages of ages, and have the keys of death and of hades.

¹⁸ And to the angel of the assembly in Thyatira write: These things says the Son of God, he that has his eyes as a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass:

²³ and her children will I kill with death; and all the assemblies shall know that *I* am he that searches [the] reins and [the] hearts; and I will give to you each according to your works.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is [that] of life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead which [were] in it, and death and hades gave up the dead which [were] in them; and they were judged each according to their works: ¹⁴ and death and hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, [even] the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if any one was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

¹² Behold, I come quickly, and my reward with me, to render to every one as his work shall be.
