⁸ But surely I count also all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them to be filth, that I may gain Christ;

³⁰ shall in no wise come into the land, concerning which I have lifted up my hand to make you dwell in it; save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

¹⁰ therefore behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every male, him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.

³⁷ and the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the open field in the plot of Jizreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

⁷ Like his own dung doth he perish for ever; they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

⁶ He goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for scattering; he cometh again with rejoicing, bearing his sheaves.

¹¹ He shall see of [the fruit of] the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant instruct many in righteousness; and *he* shall bear their iniquities.

²³ Thus saith Jehovah: Let not the wise glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty glory in his might; let not the rich glory in his riches: ²⁴ but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] Jehovah, who exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

³ Behold, I will rebuke your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, the dung of your feasts; and they shall take you away with it.

²⁵ At that time, Jesus answering said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes. ²⁶ Yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight. ²⁷ All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son but the Father, nor does any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom the Son may be pleased to reveal [him].

⁴⁴ The kingdom of the heavens is like a treasure hid in the field, which a man having found has hid, and for the joy of it goes and sells all whatever he has, and buys that field. ⁴⁵ Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls; ⁴⁶ and having found one pearl of great value, he went and sold all whatever he had and bought it.

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answering said, *Thou* art the Christ, the Son of the living God. ¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed [it] to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.

²⁷ Then Peter answering said to him, Behold, *we* have left all things and have followed thee; what then shall happen to us? ²⁸ And Jesus said to them, Verily I say unto you, That *ye* who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit down upon his throne of glory, *ye* also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And every one who has left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name`s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit life eternal.

⁴³ And whence [is] this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight. ²² All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal [him].

²⁰ But if by the finger of God I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God is come upon you.

⁴² and David himself says in the book of Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand ⁴³ until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet? ⁴⁴ David therefore calls him Lord, and how is he his son?

⁷ If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father, and henceforth ye know him and have seen him.

²⁰ In that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

³ and these things they will do because they have not known the Father nor me.

³ And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

⁸ for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.

¹³ And they say to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

²⁸ Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.

²⁴ But I make no account of [my] life [as] dear to myself, so that I finish my course, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the glad tidings of the grace of God.

¹⁸ For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy [to be compared] with the coming glory to be revealed to us.

² For I did not judge [it well] to know anything among you save Jesus Christ, and *him* crucified.

⁹ For I think that God has set us the apostles for the last, as appointed to death. For we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men. ¹⁰ *We* [are] fools for Christ`s sake, but *ye* prudent in Christ: *we* weak, but *ye* strong: *ye* glorious, but *we* in dishonour. ¹¹ To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are in nakedness, and buffeted, and wander without a home, ¹² and labour, working with our own hands. Railed at, we bless; persecuted, we suffer [it]; ¹³ insulted, we entreat: we are become as [the] offscouring of the world, [the] refuse of all, until now.

¹⁰ or does he say [it] altogether for our sakes? For for our sakes it has been written, that the plougher should plough in hope, and he that treads out corn, in hope of partaking of [it].

⁴ in whom the god of this world has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the radiancy of the glad tidings of the glory of the Christ, who is [the] image of God, should not shine forth [for them].

⁶ Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ.

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as being beside myself) *I* above measure [so]; in labours exceedingly abundant, in stripes to excess, in prisons exceedingly abundant, in deaths oft. ²⁴ From the Jews five times have I received forty [stripes], save one. ²⁵ Thrice have I been scourged, once I have been stoned, three times I have suffered shipwreck, a night and day I passed in the deep: ²⁶ in journeyings often, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from [my own] race, in perils from [the] nations, in perils in [the] city, in perils in [the] desert, in perils on [the] sea, in perils among false brethren; ²⁷ in labour and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

¹⁶ was pleased to reveal his Son in me, that I may announce him as glad tidings among the nations, immediately I took not counsel with flesh and blood, ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you [the] spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him, ¹⁸ being enlightened in the eyes of your heart, so that ye should know what is the hope of his calling, [and] what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁸ To me, less than the least of all saints, has this grace been given, to announce among the nations the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of the Christ, ⁹ and to enlighten all [with the knowledge of] what is the administration of the mystery hidden throughout the ages in God, who has created all things,

¹⁸ in order that ye may be fully able to apprehend with all the saints what [is] the breadth and length and depth and height; ¹⁹ and to know the love of the Christ which surpasses knowledge; that ye may be filled [even] to all the fulness of God.

¹³ until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at [the] full-grown man, at [the] measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ;

⁷ but what things were gain to me these I counted, on account of Christ, loss.

¹⁰ to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,

² to the end that their hearts may be encouraged, being united together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to [the] full knowledge of the mystery of God; ³ in which are hid all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.

⁶ For *I* am already being poured out, and the time of my release is come.

¹⁴ For we are become companions of the Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;

⁷ To you therefore who believe [is] the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of [the] corner,

³ As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue,

¹⁸ but grow in grace, and in [the] knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and to [the] day of eternity. Amen.

³ that which we have seen and heard we report to you, that *ye* also may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship [is] indeed with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ They went out from among us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have surely remained with us, but that they might be made manifest that none are of us.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
