¹ In [the] beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

⁶ Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; a sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom:

²² Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. ²³ I was set up from eternity, from the beginning, before the earth was. ²⁴ When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water. ²⁵ Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth; ²⁶ while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world. ²⁷ When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he ordained the circle upon the face of the deep; ²⁸ when he established the skies above, when the fountains of the deep became strong; ²⁹ when he imposed on the sea his decree that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth: ³⁰ then I was by him [his] nursling, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; ³¹ rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights [were] with the sons of men.

¹⁴ Therefore will the Lord himself give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and shall bring forth a son, and call his name Immanuel.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name is called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty ?God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.

⁹ O Zion, that bringest glad tidings, get thee up into a high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest glad tidings, lift up thy voice with strength: lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! ¹⁰ Behold, the Lord Jehovah will come with might, and his arm shall rule for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompence before him. ¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd: he will gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom; he will gently lead those that give suck.

²³ Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, `God with us.`

² *He* was in the beginning with God.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we have contemplated his glory, a glory as of an only-begotten with a father), full of grace and truth;

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, *he* hath declared [him].

³⁰ I and the Father are one. ³¹ The Jews therefore again took stones that they might stone him. ³² Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewn you of my Father; for which work of them do ye stone me? ³³ The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

²⁸ I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I leave the world and go to the Father.

⁵ and now glorify *me*, *thou* Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.

²⁸ Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.

⁵ whose [are] the fathers; and of whom, as according to flesh, [is] the Christ, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

⁹ and to enlighten all [with the knowledge of] what is the administration of the mystery hidden throughout the ages in God, who has created all things,

⁶ who, subsisting in the form of God, did not esteem it an object of rapine to be on an equality with God;

¹⁷ And *he* is before all, and all things subsist together by him.

¹⁶ And confessedly the mystery of piety is great. God has been manifested in flesh, has been justified in [the] Spirit, has appeared to angels, has been preached among [the] nations, has been believed on in [the] world, has been received up in glory.

¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

⁸ but as to the Son, Thy throne, O God, [is] to the age of the age, and a sceptre of uprightness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. ⁹ Thou hast loved righteousness and hast hated lawlessness; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy companions. ¹⁰ And, *Thou* in the beginning, Lord, hast founded the earth, and works of thy hands are the heavens. ¹¹ They shall perish, but *thou* continuest still; and they all shall grow old as a garment, ¹² and as a covering shalt thou roll them up, and they shall be changed; but *thou* art the Same, and thy years shall not fail. ¹³ But as to which of the angels said he ever, Sit at my right hand until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet?

³ without father, without mother, without genealogy; having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but assimilated to the Son of God, abides a priest continually.

⁸ Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and to-day, and to the ages [to come].

¹ Simon Peter, bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have received like precious faith with us through [the] righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ:

¹ That which was from [the] beginning, that which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes; that which we contemplated, and our hands handled, concerning the word of life; ² (and the life has been manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and report to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and has been manifested to us:)

⁷ For they that bear witness are three:

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

² who testified the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things that he saw.

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith [the] Lord God, he who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ saying, What thou seest write in a book, and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw him I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; *I* am the first and the last,

⁸ And to the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write: These things says the first and the last, who became dead, and lived:

¹⁴ And to the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:

¹³ and [he is] clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.

⁶ And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that thirsts of the fountain of the water of life freely.

¹³ *I* [am] the Alpha and the Omega, [the] first and [the] last, the beginning and the end.
