John 17:1 Cross References - Darby

¹ These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee;

¹ {A Song of degrees.} I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come? ² My help [cometh] from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.

¹ {A Song of degrees.} Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

¹⁴ Like a swallow [or] a crane, so did I chatter; I mourned as a dove; mine eyes failed [with looking] upward: Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.

⁴¹ And he comes the third time and says to them, Sleep on now, and take your rest. It is enough; the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is delivered up into the hands of sinners.

¹³ And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner.

⁵³ When I was day by day with you in the temple ye did not stretch out your hands against me; but this is your hour and the power of darkness.

³⁰ They sought therefore to take him; and no one laid his hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.

³⁹ But this he said concerning the Spirit, which they that believed on him were about to receive; for [the] Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

²⁰ These words spoke he in the treasury, teaching in the temple; and no one took him, for his hour was not yet come.

⁴ But when Jesus heard [it], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.

⁴¹ They took therefore the stone away. And Jesus lifted up his eyes on high and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me;

²³ But Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified.

²⁷ Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But on account of this have I come to this hour. ²⁸ Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, I both have glorified and will glorify [it] again.

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.

³¹ When therefore he was gone out Jesus says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God be glorified in him, God also shall glorify him in himself, and shall glorify him immediately.

³² Behold, [the] hour is coming, and has come, that ye shall be scattered, each to his own, and shall leave me alone; and [yet] I am not alone, for the Father is with me.

⁴ I have glorified *thee* on the earth, I have completed the work which thou gavest me that I should do it; ⁵ and now glorify *me*, *thou* Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.

¹³ The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom *ye* delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when *he* had judged that he should be let go.

⁹ Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and granted him a name, that which is above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly and earthly and infernal [beings], ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord to God [the] Father`s glory.

²¹ who by him do believe on God, who has raised him from among [the] dead and given him glory, that your faith and hope should be in God.
