⁴ Where wast thou when I founded the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

²⁵ Of old hast thou founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands:

⁵ He laid the earth upon its foundations: it shall not be removed for ever.

²² Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

²⁹ when he imposed on the sea his decree that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth: ³⁰ then I was by him [his] nursling, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

⁴ Who hath ascended up into the heavens, and descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a mantle? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son`s name, if thou knowest?

² at the end of these days has spoken to us in [the person of the] Son, whom he has established heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
