¹ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come ye, buy, and eat: yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price!

¹ And Boaz went up to the gate, and sat down there. And behold, he that had the right of redemption, of whom Boaz had spoken, came by. And he said, Thou, such a one, turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside and sat down.

¹ {To the chief Musician. An instruction; of the sons of Korah.} As the hart panteth after the water-brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. ² My soul thirsteth for God, for the living ?God: when shall I come and appear before God?

¹ {A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my ?God; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:

⁶ I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul, as a parched land, [thirsteth] after thee. Selah.

²¹ she calleth in the chief [place] of concourse, in the entry of the gates; in the city she uttereth her words: ²² How long, simple ones, will ye love simpleness, and scorners take pleasure in their scorning, and the foolish hate knowledge? ²³ Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour forth my spirit unto you, I will make known to you my words.

⁴ Unto you, men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of man:

² Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; For thy love is better than wine.

⁴ Draw me, we will run after thee! -- The king hath brought me into his chambers -- We will be glad and rejoice in thee, We will remember thy love more than wine. They love thee uprightly.

¹ I am come into my garden, my sister, [my] spouse; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, beloved ones!

¹⁷ The afflicted and the needy seek water, and there is none; their tongue faileth for thirst: I, Jehovah, will answer them, [I], the God of Israel, will not forsake them. ¹⁸ I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs.

³ For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring.

³ For thus saith Jehovah: Ye have sold yourselves for nought, and ye shall be redeemed without money.

⁴ Our water have we to drink for money, our wood cometh unto us for a price.

⁴ I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.

¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the water-courses of Judah shall flow with waters; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of Jehovah, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

⁶ Ho, ho! flee from the land of the north, saith Jehovah; for I have scattered you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, saith Jehovah.

¹⁵ Jehovah of hosts will defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones; and they shall drink, [and] make a noise as from wine; and they shall be filled like a bowl, like the corners of the altar.

⁷ And [they of] Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their hearts shall rejoice as through wine; and their children shall see [it], and rejoice; their heart shall be joyful in Jehovah. ⁸ Heal [the] infirm, [raise the dead], cleanse lepers, cast out demons: ye have received gratuitously, give gratuitously.

⁴⁴ The kingdom of the heavens is like a treasure hid in the field, which a man having found has hid, and for the joy of it goes and sells all whatever he has, and buys that field.

²⁹ But I say to you, that I will not at all drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.

³ And wine being deficient, the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine. ⁴ Jesus says to her, What have I to do with thee, woman? mine hour has not yet come. ⁵ His mother says to the servants, Whatever he may say to you, do. ⁶ Now there were standing there six stone water-vessels, according to the purification of the Jews, holding two or three measures each. ⁷ Jesus says to them, Fill the water-vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim. ⁸ And he says to them, Draw out now, and carry [it] to the feast-master. And they carried [it]. ⁹ But when the feast-master had tasted the water which had been made wine (and knew not whence it was, but the servants knew who drew the water), the feast-master calls the bridegroom, ¹⁰ and says to him, Every man sets on first the good wine, and when [men] have well drunk, then the inferior; thou hast kept the good wine till now.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that says to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. ¹¹ The woman says to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou the living water? ¹² Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his sons, and his cattle? ¹³ Jesus answered and said to her, Every one who drinks of this water shall thirst again; ¹⁴ but whosoever drinks of the water which I shall give him shall never thirst for ever, but the water which I shall give him shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up into eternal life.

³⁷ In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink. ³⁸ He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption which [is] in Christ Jesus;

² I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able;

⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us, ⁵ (we too being dead in offences,) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace,) ⁶ and has raised [us] up together, and has made [us] sit down together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, ⁷ that he might display in the coming ages the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God`s gift:

² as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold purified by fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white garments, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not be made manifest; and eye-salve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.

⁶ And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that thirsts of the fountain of the water of life freely.

¹ And he shewed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, going out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come; he that will, let him take [the] water of life freely.
