²² And she bore a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, I have been a sojourner in a foreign land.

¹⁰ And when the child was grown, she brought him to Pharaoh`s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses, and said, Because I drew him out of the water.

³ and her two sons, of whom the name of the one was Gershom -- for he said, I have been a sojourner in a foreign land, ⁴ -- and the name of the other, Eliezer -- For the God of my father has been my help, and has delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh.

²¹ Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him; for ye have been strangers in the land of Egypt.

²⁰ And they went from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people.

¹⁴ -- And as to Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi. ¹⁵ The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer. ¹⁶ The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the head. ¹⁷ And the sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah the head; and Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

¹⁵ For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no hope [of life].

¹² Hear my prayer, Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.

¹⁹ I am a stranger in the land; hide not thy commandments from me.

²⁹ And Moses fled at this saying, and became a sojourner in the land of Madiam, where he begat two sons.

¹³ All these died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them from afar off and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth. ¹⁴ For they who say such things shew clearly that they seek [their] country.
