⁶ and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

³⁷ And because he loved thy fathers, and chose their seed after them, he brought thee out with his countenance, with his great power, out of Egypt,

²⁹ Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments continually, that it might be well with them and with their sons for ever!

⁹ And thou shalt know that Jehovah thy God, he is God, the faithful ?God, who keepeth covenant and mercy to a thousand generations with them that love him and keep his commandments;

³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me all [their] days, for the good of them, and of their children after them. ⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not draw back from them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their heart, that they may not turn aside from me.

¹⁵ If ye love me, keep my commandments.

²¹ He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; but he that loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him.

³⁹ For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all who [are] afar off, as many as [the] Lord our God may call.

²⁸ As regards the glad tidings, [they are] enemies on your account; but as regards election, beloved on account of the fathers. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God [are] not subject to repentance.

¹⁹ *We* love because *he* has first loved us.

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not grievous.

⁶ And this is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, according as ye have heard from the beginning, that ye might walk in it.
