²⁰ And whilst I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God;

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁵ If I forget thee, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [its skill]; ⁶ If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to my palate: if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

¹⁸ Jehovah is nigh unto all that call upon him, unto all that call upon him in truth.

²⁰ Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good and sinneth not.

⁵ And I said, Woe unto me! for I am undone; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.

⁷ even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar: for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.

⁹ Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger and the unjust speech,

⁶ I have set watchmen upon thy walls, Jerusalem; all the day and all the night they shall never hold their peace: ye that put Jehovah in remembrance, keep not silence, ⁷ and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

³ And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes; ⁴ and I prayed unto Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, Alas Lord! the great and terrible ?God, keeping covenant and loving-kindness with them that love him, and that keep his commandments:

¹⁶ Lord, according to all thy righteousnesses, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; for because of our sins, and because of the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a reproach to all round about us.

² In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks:

³ Thus saith Jehovah: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem shall be called, The city of truth; and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, The holy mountain.

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God with boldness.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago I had been [fasting] unto this hour, and the ninth [I was] praying in my house, and lo, a man stood before me in bright clothing, ³¹ and said, Cornelius, thy prayer has been heard, and thy alms have come in remembrance before God.

²³ for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

² For we all often offend. If any one offend not in word, *he* [is] a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body too.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us [our] sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
