¹⁶ for Paul thought it desirable to sail by Ephesus, so that he might not be made to spend time in Asia; for he hastened, if it was possible for him, to be the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.

²² -- And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the turn of the year.

¹ And when the day of Pentecost was now accomplishing, they were all together in one place.

¹³ And when he had knocked at the door of the entry, a maid came to listen, by name Rhoda;

¹⁹ and he arrived at Ephesus, and left them there. But entering himself into the synagogue he reasoned with the Jews.

²¹ but bade them farewell, saying, [I must by all means keep the coming feast at Jerusalem]; I will return to you again, if God will: and he sailed away from Ephesus.

⁶ but we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and we came to them to Troas in five days, where we spent seven days.

²⁴ whenever I should go to Spain; (for I hope to see you as I go through, and by you to be set forward thither, if first I shall have been in part filled with your company;) ²⁵ but now I go to Jerusalem, ministering to the saints; ²⁶ for Macedonia and Achaia have been well pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor of the saints who [are] in Jerusalem. ²⁷ They have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them. ²⁸ Having finished this therefore, and having sealed to them this fruit, I will set off by you into Spain.

⁸ But I remain in Ephesus until Pentecost.
