²⁰ For it is written in [the] book of Psalms, Let his homestead become desolate, and let there be no dweller in it; and, Let another take his overseership.

²⁵ Let their habitation be desolate; let there be no dweller in their tents.

⁸ Let his days be few, let another take his office; ⁹ Let his sons be fatherless, and his wife a widow; ¹⁰ Let his sons be vagabonds and beg, and let them seek [their bread] far from their desolate places; ¹¹ Let the usurer cast the net over all that he hath, and let strangers despoil his labour; ¹² Let there be none to extend kindness unto him, neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children; ¹³ Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out: ¹⁴ Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out; ¹⁵ Let them be before Jehovah continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth:

³ And he said unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole land: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off according to it on this side; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off according to it on that side. ⁴ I will cause it to go forth, saith Jehovah of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name; and it shall lodge in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

⁴² and David himself says in the book of Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand

⁴⁴ And he said to them, These [are] the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all that is written concerning me in the law of Moses and prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.

²⁵ to receive the lot of this service and apostleship, from which Judas transgressing fell to go to his own place.

³³ that God has fulfilled this to us their children, having raised up Jesus; as it is also written in the second psalm, *Thou* art my Son: this day have *I* begotten thee.
