¹⁵ And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king`s mother, and the king`s wives, and his chamberlains, and the mighty of the land, he led into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon;

⁸ Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother`s name was Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

¹⁰ And at the turn of the year king Nebuchadnezzar sent and had him brought to Babylon, with the precious vessels of the house of Jehovah; and he made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Wherefore are they thrown out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

¹² Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things are? Say, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took its king and its princes, and led them with him to Babylon.
