And they turned and said, Like as Jehovah of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

³ And it shall come to pass, if any shall yet prophesy, that his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of Jehovah; and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

⁷ and Solomon begat Roboam, and Roboam begat Abia, and Abia begat Asa, ⁸ and Asa begat Josaphat, and Josaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Ozias,

⁸ and Asa begat Josaphat, and Josaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Ozias,

³⁷ He who loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me.

⁴⁶ But while he was yet speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, seeking to speak to him. ⁴⁷ Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, seeking to speak to thee. ⁴⁸ But he answering said to him that spoke to him, Who is my mother, and who are my brethren? ⁴⁹ And, stretching out his hand to his disciples, he said, Behold my mother and my brethren; ⁵⁰ for whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in [the] heavens, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.

¹⁸ And *I* also, I say unto thee that *thou* art Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and hades` gates shall not prevail against it.

⁶ And they were both just before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

⁶⁹ and raised up a horn of deliverance for us in the house of David his servant; ⁷⁰ as he spoke by [the] mouth of his holy prophets, who have been since the world began; ⁷¹ deliverance from our enemies and out of the hand of all who hate us; ⁷² to fulfil mercy with our fathers and remember his holy covenant, ⁷³ [the] oath which he swore to Abraham our father, ⁷⁴ to give us, that, saved out of the hand of our enemies, we should serve him without fear ⁷⁵ in piety and righteousness before him all our days. ⁷⁶ And *thou*, child, shalt be called [the] prophet of [the] Highest; for thou shalt go before the face of [the] Lord to make ready his ways; ⁷⁷ to give knowledge of deliverance to his people by [the] remission of their sins ⁷⁸ on account of [the] bowels of mercy of our God; wherein [the] dayspring from on high has visited us, ⁷⁹ to shine upon them who were sitting in darkness and in [the] shadow of death, to guide our feet into [the] way of peace.

³² a light for revelation of [the] Gentiles and [the] glory of thy people Israel.

¹² Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

¹ Jesus, having said these things, went out with his disciples beyond the torrent Cedron, where was a garden, into which he entered, he and his disciples.

²² And having removed him he raised up to them David for king, of whom also bearing witness he said, I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who shall do all my will.

³⁶ For David indeed, having in his own generation ministered to the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers and saw corruption.

²⁶ For this reason God gave them up to vile lusts; for both their females changed the natural use into that contrary to nature; ²⁷ and in like manner the males also, leaving the natural use of the female, were inflamed in their lust towards one another; males with males working shame, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error which was fit.

³¹ void of understanding, faithless, without natural affection, unmerciful;

⁸ and not, according as we are injuriously charged, and according as some affirm that we say, Let us practise evil things, that good ones may come? whose judgment is just.

²⁸ As regards the glad tidings, [they are] enemies on your account; but as regards election, beloved on account of the fathers.

¹⁵ For if on account of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer according to love. Destroy not him with thy meat for whom Christ has died.

¹⁰ For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, sitting at table in an idol-house, shall not his conscience, he being weak, be emboldened to eat the things sacrificed to the idol? ¹¹ and the weak [one], the brother for whose sake Christ died, will perish through thy knowledge. ¹² Now, thus sinning against the brethren, and wounding their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. ¹³ Wherefore if meat be a fall-trap to my brother, I will eat no flesh for ever, that I may not be a fall-trap to my brother.

¹⁶ So that *we* henceforth know no one according to flesh; but if even we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we know [him thus] no longer.

⁵ to whom we yielded in subjection not even for an hour, that the truth of the glad tidings might remain with you. ⁶ But from those who were conspicuous as being somewhat -- whatsoever they were, it makes no difference to me: God does not accept man`s person; for to me those who were conspicuous communicated nothing;

¹⁴ But when I saw that they do not walk straightforwardly, according to the truth of the glad tidings, I said to Peter before all, If *thou*, being a Jew, livest as the nations and not as the Jews, how dost thou compel the nations to Judaize?

¹⁸ knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible [things, as] silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from [your] fathers,

⁷ as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities around them, committing greedily fornication, in like manner with them, and going after other flesh, lie there as an example, undergoing the judgment of eternal fire.

¹⁶ *I* Jesus have sent mine angel to testify these things to you in the assemblies. *I* am the root and offspring of David, the bright [and] morning star.
