1 John 5:1 Cross References - Darby

¹ Every one that believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God; and every one that loves him that has begotten loves also him that is begotten of him.

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answering said, *Thou* art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

¹² but as many as received him, to them gave he [the] right to be children of God, to those that believe on his name; ¹³ who have been born, not of blood, nor of flesh`s will, nor of man`s will, but of God.

³ Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born anew he cannot see the kingdom of God.

⁶⁹ and we have believed and known that thou art the holy one of God.

⁴² Jesus said to them, If God were your father ye would have loved me, for I came forth from God and am come [from him]; for neither am I come of myself, but *he* has sent me.

²³ He that hates me hates also my Father.

³⁶ And as they went along the way, they came upon a certain water, and the eunuch says, Behold water; what hinders my being baptised?

⁹ that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with [the] heart is believed to righteousness; and with [the] mouth confession made to salvation.

¹⁸ According to his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we should be a certain first-fruits of *his* creatures.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead,

²² Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently; ²³ being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by [the] living and abiding word of God.

¹⁰ He that loves his brother abides in light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.

²² Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? *He* is the antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. ²³ Whoever denies the Son has not the Father either; he who confesses the Son has the Father also.

²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, know that every one who practises righteousness is begotten of him.

⁹ Whoever has been begotten of God does not practise sin, because his seed abides in him, and he cannot sin, because he has been begotten of God.

¹⁴ *We* know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love [his] brother abides in death.

¹⁷ But whoso may have the world`s substance, and see his brother having need, and shut up his bowels from him, how abides the love of God in him?

² Hereby ye know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses Jesus Christ come in flesh is of God;

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.

¹⁴ And *we* have seen, and testify, that the Father has sent the Son [as] Saviour of the world. ¹⁵ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

²⁰ If any one say, I love God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

⁴ For all that has been begotten of God gets the victory over the world; and this is the victory which has gotten the victory over the world, our faith.
