²¹ And this commandment have we from him, That he that loves God love also his brother.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not avenge thyself, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am Jehovah.

⁴³ Ye have heard that it has been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour and hate thine enemy.

³⁷ And he said to him, Thou shalt love [the] Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy understanding. ³⁸ This is [the] great and first commandment. ³⁹ And [the] second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

²⁹ And Jesus answered him, [The] first commandment of all [is], Hear, Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord; ³⁰ and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thine understanding, and with all thy strength. This is [the] first commandment. ³¹ And a second like it [is] this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is not another commandment greater than these. ³² And the scribe said to him, Right, teacher; thou hast spoken according to [the] truth. For he is one, and there is none other besides him; ³³ and to love him with all the heart, and with all the intelligence, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one`s neighbour as one`s self, is more than all the burnt-offerings and sacrifices.

³⁷ And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do *thou* likewise.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.

¹² This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.

⁹ Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good: ¹⁰ as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:

⁹ For, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not lust; and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ¹⁰ Love works no ill to its neighbour; love therefore [is the] whole law.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision has any force, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

¹⁴ For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself;

⁹ Now concerning brotherly love ye have no need that we should write to you, for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

⁸ Finally, [be] all of one mind, sympathising, full of brotherly love, tender hearted, humble minded;

⁸ but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;

¹¹ For this is the message which ye have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:

¹⁴ *We* know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love [his] brother abides in death.

¹⁸ Children, let us not love with word, nor with tongue, but in deed and in truth.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and that we love one another, even as he has given us commandment.

¹¹ Beloved, if God has so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
