¹ My children, these things I write to you in order that ye may not sin; and if any one sin, we have a patron with the Father, Jesus Christ [the] righteous;

⁴ Be moved with anger, and sin not; meditate in your own hearts upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

²¹ And if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall certainly live, for he hath taken warning; and thou hast delivered thy soul.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion; shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy King cometh to thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly and rIding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

²² All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal [him].

¹⁴ After these things Jesus finds him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art become well: sin no more, that something worse do not happen to thee.

¹⁹ Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself save whatever he sees the Father doing: for whatever things *he* does, these things also the Son does in like manner. ²⁰ For the Father loves the Son and shews him all things which he himself does; and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may wonder. ²¹ For even as the Father raises the dead and quickens [them], thus the Son also quickens whom he will: ²² for neither does the Father judge any one, but has given all judgment to the Son; ²³ that all may honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He who honours not the Son, honours not the Father who has sent him. ²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, that he that hears my word, and believes him that has sent me, has life eternal, and does not come into judgment, but is passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Verily, verily, I say unto you, that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that have heard shall live. ²⁶ For even as the Father has life in himself, so he has given to the Son also to have life in himself,

³⁶ But I have the witness [that is] greater than [that] of John; for the works which the Father has given me that I should complete them, the works themselves which I do, bear witness concerning me that the Father has sent me.

²⁷ Work not [for] the food which perishes, but [for] the food which abides unto life eternal, which the Son of man shall give to you; for him has the Father sealed, [even] God.

¹¹ And she said, No one, sir. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

¹⁵ as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

³³ Children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me; and, as I said to the Jews, Where I go ye cannot come, I say to you also now.

⁶ Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.

⁵ Jesus therefore says to them, Children, have ye anything to eat? They answered him, No.

¹ What then shall we say? Should we continue in sin that grace may abound? ² Far be the thought. We who have died to sin, how shall we still live in it?

¹⁵ What then? should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Far be the thought.

³⁴ who is he that condemns? [It is] Christ who has died, but rather has been [also] raised up; who is also at the right hand of God; who also intercedes for us.

¹⁴ Not [as] chiding do I write these things to you, but as my beloved children I admonish [you]. ¹⁵ For if ye should have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus *I* have begotten you through the glad tidings.

³⁴ Awake up righteously, and sin not; for some are ignorant of God: I speak to you as a matter of shame.

²¹ Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that *we* might become God`s righteousness in him.

¹⁹ my children, of whom I again travail in birth until Christ shall have been formed in you:

¹⁸ For through him we have both access by one Spirit to the Father.

²⁶ Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,

⁵ For God is one, and [the] mediator of God and men one, [the] man Christ Jesus,

¹⁴ These things I write to thee, hoping to come to thee more quickly;

¹¹ For the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared, ¹² teaching us that, having denied impiety and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and justly, and piously in the present course of things, ¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

²⁴ but he, because of his continuing for ever, has the priesthood unchangeable. ²⁵ Whence also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God, always living to intercede for them. ²⁶ For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and become higher than the heavens:

²⁴ For the Christ is not entered into holy places made with hand, figures of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

²⁷ Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

⁹ Therewith bless we the Lord and Father, and therewith curse we men made after [the] likeness of God.

¹⁵ but as he who has called you is holy, be ye also holy in all [your] conversation; ¹⁶ because it is written, Be ye holy, for *I* am holy. ¹⁷ And if ye invoke as Father him who, without regard of persons, judges according to the work of each, pass your time of sojourn in fear, ¹⁸ knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible [things, as] silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from [your] fathers, ¹⁹ but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [the blood] of Christ,

²² who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;

¹⁸ for Christ indeed has once suffered for sins, [the] just for [the] unjust, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in flesh, but made alive in [the] Spirit,

¹ Christ, then, having suffered for us in [the] flesh, do *ye* also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in [the] flesh has done with sin, ² no longer to live the rest of [his] time in [the] flesh to men`s lusts, but to God`s will. ³ For the time past [is] sufficient [for us] to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, lusts, wine-drinking, revels, drinkings, and unhallowed idolatries.

³ that which we have seen and heard we report to you, that *ye* also may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship [is] indeed with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. ⁴ And these things write we to you that your joy may be full.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us [our] sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

¹² I write to you, children, because [your] sins are forgiven you for his name`s sake. ¹³ I write to you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked [one]. I write to you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

²⁸ And now, children, abide in him, that if he be manifested we may have boldness, and not be put to shame from before him at his coming. ²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, know that every one who practises righteousness is begotten of him.

⁵ And ye know that *he* has been manifested that he might take away our sins; and in him sin is not.

⁷ Children, let no man lead you astray; he that practises righteousness is righteous, even as *he* is righteous.

¹⁸ Children, let us not love with word, nor with tongue, but in deed and in truth.

⁴ *Ye* are of God, children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that [is] in you than he that [is] in the world.

²¹ Children, keep yourselves from idols.
