²¹ Lo, he smote the stony rocke, that the watery streames gusshed out, and the streames flowed withall: but how can he geue bred and prouyde flesh for his people?

¹ And whan ye people waxed vnpaciet, it displeased sore ye eares of ye LORDE. And whan the LORDE herde it, his wrath waxed whote, & the fyre of ye LORDE burnt amoge them, so yt it cosumed the vttemost of ye hoost. ² The cryed the people vnto Moses. And Moses prayed vnto the LORDE. So ye fyre quenched. ³ And the place was called Tabera, because the fyre of the LORDE burnt amonge them.

¹⁰ Now whan Moses herde the people wepe amoge their kynreds, euery one in his tet dore, then the wrath of the LORDE waxed exceadinge whote. And it greued Moses also.

²² For the fyre is kyndled in my wrath, and shal burne vnto ye nethermost hell, and shal consume the londe with the increase therof, and set the foundacions of ye mountaynes on fyre.

³¹ But whyle ye meate was yet in theyr mouthes: The heuy wrath of God came vpo the, slewe ye welthiest of the, & smote downe ye chosen men of Israel.

⁵ Neuertheles in many of them had God no delyte, for they were smytten downe in the wyldernesse.

¹¹ All these thinges happened vnto the for ensamples, but they are wrytte to warne vs, vpon whom the ende of ye worlde is come.

²⁹ For oure God is a consumynge fyre.

⁵ My minde is therfore to put you in remebrauce, for as moche as ye once knowe this, how that ye LORDE (after that he had deliuered the people out of Egipt) destroyed them which afterwarde beleued not.
