²¹ yt I might shewe ye the treuth and that thou wt the verite mightest answere them yt laye eny thinge against ye?

³ I thought it good (after that I had diligently searched out all from the begynnynge) to wryte the same orderly vnto the (good Theophilus) ⁴ that thou mightest knowe the certete of ye wordes, wherof thou art infourmed.
