¹⁸ The laboure of the vngodly prospereth not, but he that soweth rightuosnes, shal receaue a sure rewarde.

¹³ sayege: This is the porcion that the wicked shall haue of God, & the heretage that Tyrauntes shal receaue of ye Allmightie. ¹⁴ Yf he get many childre, they shal perish wt the swearde, & his posterite shall haue scarcenesse of bred. ¹⁵ Loke whom he leaueth behinde him, they shal dye & be buried, & no man shall haue pite of his wyddowes. ¹⁶ Though he haue as moch money as the dust of the earth, & raymet as ready as the claye, ¹⁷ he maye well prepare it: but the godly shal put it vpon him, and the innocet shal deale out the money. ¹⁸ His house shal endure as the moth, & as a bothe that the watch man maketh. ¹⁹ When the rich man dyeth, he carieth nothinge with him: he is gone in ye twincklynge of an eye. ²⁰ Destruccion taketh holde vpo him as a water floude, & ye tepest stealeth him awaye in the night season. ²¹ A vehement wynde carieth him hence, & departeth: a storme plucketh him out of his place. ²² It ru?sheth in vpon him, and spareth him not, he maye not escape from the power therof. ²³ Than clappe me their hodes at him, yee and ieast of him, whe they loke vpon his place.

⁵ Turne oure captiuyte (o LORDE) as the ryuers in the south. ⁶ They that sowe in teeres, shal reape in ioye. He yt now goeth his waye wepige & beareth forth good sede, shal come agayne with ioye, and brynge his sheaues with him.

¹⁸ Yee they the selues laye wayte one for anothers bloude, and one of the wolde slaye another.

²² The wickednesses of the vngodly shal catch himself, and with the snares of his owne synnes shal he be trapped.

⁸ He yt soweth wickednesse, shal reape sorowe, & the rodde of his plage shal destroye him.

⁸ But he yt dyggeth vp a pytt, shall fall therin himself: & who so breaketh downe the hedge, a serpent shal byte him.

⁵ They brede cockatrice egges, & weeue ye spyders webb. Who so eateth of their egges, dieth. But yf one treade vpon the, there cometh vp a serpent. ⁶ Their webbe maketh no clothe, & they maye not couer the wt their labours. Their dedes are ye dedes of wickednes, & ye worke of robbery is in their hodes. ⁷ Their fete runne to euell, & they make haist to shed innocet bloude. Their coucels are wicked coucels, harme & destruccio are in their wayes. ⁸ But ye waye of peace they knowe not. In their goinges is no equyte, their wayes are so croked, yt who so euer goeth therin, knoweth nothinge of peace.

¹² that they might sowe vnto rightuousnes, and reape the frutes of weldoynge: yt they might plowe vp their fresh londe, and seke the LORDE, till he came, and lerned them rightuousnes. ¹³ But now they haue plowed them wickednesse, therfore shal they reepe synne, and eate the frute of lyes. Seinge thou puttest thy cofidence in thine owne wayes, and leanest to ye multitude of thy worthies:

⁸ He that soweth vpon the flesh, shal of the flesh reape destruccion: But he that soweth vpon ye sprete, shal of the sprete reape life euerlastinge. ⁹ Let vs not be weery of well doynge: for wha the tyme is come, we shal reape without ceassinge.

²² So then as concernynge the conuersacion in tyme past laye from you that olde man which marreth himselfe thorow disceauable lustes:

¹⁸ yee, and the frute of rightewesnes is sowen in peace, of the that mayntene peace.
