²³ Then sayde Ioseph vnto the people: Beholde, I haue taken possession of you and youre lande this daye for Pharao, Beholde, there haue ye sede, sowe the londe,

²⁷ The seuen leene and euell fauoured kyne, that came vp after them, are seuen yeares. And the seuen thynne and blasted eares, shalbe seuen yeares of derth.

⁶ For these are now two yeares, that ye derth hath bene in the lande, and there are yet fyue yeares behynde, wherin there shalbe no plowinge ner haruest.

¹ Blessed is he, yt considreth ye poore: ye LORDE shal delyuer him in the tyme of trouble.

³⁶ There he setteth the hongrie, that they maye buylde them a cite to dwell in. ³⁷ That they maye sowe their groude, plante vynyaydes, to yelde them frutes of increase.

⁵ Wel is him that is mercifull, & lendeth gladly, & podreth his wordes wt discrecion.

²⁶ Who so hoordeth vp his corne, shalbe cursed amonge the people: but blessynge shal light vpon his heade that selleth it.

¹¹ He that tilleth his lode, shal haue plenteousnesse of bred: but he yt foloweth ydylnes, is a very foole.

²³ There is plenteousnesse of fode in the feldes of the poore, & shalbe increased out of measure.

⁶ Cease not thou therfore with thy handes to sowe thy sede, whether it be in ye mornynge or in the euenynge: for thou knowest not whether this or that shall prospere, & yf they both take, it is the better.

²⁴ Goeth not the husbonde man euer in due season earnestly to his londe? he moweth & ploweth his grounde to sowe. ²⁵ And whe he hath made it playne, he soweth it with fitches or comyn. He soweth ye wheate and Barlye in their place, Milium and Rye also in their place.

¹⁰ And like as the rayne & snowe cometh downe from heaue, & returneth not thither agayne, but watereth the earth, maketh it frutefull & grene, that it maye geue corne & breade vnto the sower:

⁴⁵ Who is now a faithfull and wyse seruaut, whom his lorde hath made ruler ouer his houssholde, that he maye geue them meate in due season?

¹⁰ He that geueth sede vnto the sower, shal mynistre bred also for fode, and shal multiplye youre sede, and increase the frutes of yor righteousnes,
