³² But be ye curteous one to another, mercifull, and forgeue one another, eue as God hath forgeuen you in Christ.

¹⁷ Thus shal ye saye vnto Ioseph: O forgeue thy brethren the offence and their synne, that they dyd so euell vnto the. O forgeue now this trespace of vs the seruauntes of thy fathers God. But Ioseph wepte, whan they spake so vnto him. ¹⁸ And his brethren wente, and fell downe before him, and sayde: Beholde, here are we thy seruauntes.

²⁰ Naemi sayde vnto hir doughter in lawe: The blessynge of the LORDE haue he, for he hath not lefte of to be mercifull vnto the lyuynge and to the deed. And Naemi sayde vnto her: The same man belongeth vnto vs, and is oure nye kynsman.

⁴ Vnto the godly there ariseth vp light in the darcknesse: he is merciful, louynge & rightuous. ⁵ Wel is him that is mercifull, & lendeth gladly, & podreth his wordes wt discrecion.

⁹ He hath sparsed abrode, & geue to the poore, his rightuousnes remayneth for euer, his horne shalbe exalted wt honor.

⁹ The LORDE is louynge vnto euery man, and his mercy is ouer all his workes.

¹⁰ A righteous man regardeth the life of his catell, but the vngodly haue cruell hertes.

²² It is a mans worshipe to do good, & better it is to be a poore ma, then a dyssembler.

¹ Bvt in the meane season ye righteous perisheth, & no ma regardeth it in his hert. Good godly people are taken awaye. & no ma cosidreth it. Namely: that the righteous is conuayed awaye thorow ye wicked:

¹² And forgeue vs oure dettes, as we also forgeue oure detters.

¹⁴ For yf ye forgeue other men their treaspases, youre heauenly father shall also forgeue you. ¹⁵ But and ye wyll not forgeue me their trespases, nomore shall youre father forgeue you youre trespases.

²¹ Then came Peter vnto him, & sayde, LORDE, how oft shal I forgeue my brother, yt trespaceth agaynst me? Seue tymes? ²² Iesus saide vnto hi: I saye not vnto ye seue tymes, but seuetie tymes seuen tymes. ²³ Therfore is ye kingdome of heaue lickened vnto a kynge which wolde reken wt his seruauntes. ²⁴ And whan he beganne to reke, one was brought vnto him, which ought him ten thousande poude. ²⁵ Now wha he had nothinge to paye his lorde comaunded him to be solde, & his wife & his childre, & all yt he had, & payment to be made. ²⁶ Then the seruaunt fell downe, & besought him, sayenge: Syr, haue paciece wt me, and I wil paye the all. ²⁷ Then had the lorde pytie on that seruaunt, & discharged him, and forgaue him the dett. ²⁸ And the same seruaunt wete out, & foude one of his felowes, which ought him an hudreth pens, and layed hande vpon him, and toke him by the throte, and sayde: paye me that thou owest. ²⁹ The his felowe fell downe, and besought him, sayenge: haue paciece wt me, and I wil paye the all ³⁰ Neuertheles, he wolde not, but wente and cast him in to preson, tyll he shulde paye the dett. ³¹ Whan his felowes sawe what was done, they were very sory, and came and tolde their lorde all that had happened. ³² Then his lorde called for him, and sayde vnto him: O thou wicked seruaut, I forgaue the all this dett, because thou praydest me: ³³ shuldest not thou then haue had compassion also vpon thy felowe, euen as I had pytie vpon the? ³⁴ And his lorde was wroth, and delyuered him vnto the iaylers, tyll he payed all that he ought. ³⁵ So shal my heauenly father do also vnto you, yf ye euery one of you fro youre hertes, forgeue not his brother his trespaces.

²⁵ And whan ye stonde and praye, forgeue yf ye haue ought ageynst eny man, that youre father also in heauen, maye forgeue you youre trespaces.

⁷⁸ Thorow the tender mercy of oure God, wherby the daye sprynge from an hye hath vysited vs.

³⁵ But rather loue ye yor enemies, do good, and lende, lokynge for nothinge therof agayne: so shal yor rewarde be greate, and ye shalbe the children of the Hyest, for he is kynde, euen to the vnthankfull and to the euell.

³⁷ Iudge not, and ye shal not be iudged. Condepne not, and ye shal not be condempned. Forgeue, and ye shal be forgeuen.

⁴ And forgeue vs oure synnes, for we also forgeue all them that are detters vnto vs. And lede vs not in to temptacion, but delyuer vs from euell.

⁴ and yf he amende, forgeue him. And though he synne agaynst the seuen tymes in a daye, and come seuen tymes in a daye to ye agayne, and saye: It repenteth me, forgeue him.

² As for the people, they shewed vs no litle kyndnesse: for they kyndled a fyre, and receaued vs all because of the rayne that was come vpo vs, and because of the colde.

¹⁰ Be kynde one to another with brotherly loue. In geuynge honoure go one before another.

²⁰ Therfore yf thine enemye hunger, fede him: Yf he thyrst, geue him drinke. For in so doinge thou shalt heape coales of fyre vpo his heade. ²¹ Be not ouercome with euell, but ouercome thou euell with good.

⁴ Loue is pacient & curteous, loue envyeth not, loue doth not frowardly, is not puft vp, dealeth not dishonestly,

⁷ so that from hence forth ye oughte the more to forgeue him and to comforte him, lest he be swalowed vp in ouer moch heuynesse.

¹⁰ But loke vnto who ye forgeue eny thinge, I forgeue hi also. For I also, yf I forgeue ought vnto eny ma, that forgeue I for youre sakes in the rowme of Christ,

⁶ in purenesse, in knowlege, in longe sufferynge, in kyndnesse, in the holy goost, in loue vnfayned,

¹ Be ye the folowers therfore of God as deare children,

¹² Now therfore as the electe of God, holy and beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mynde, mekenesse, longe sufferynge, ¹³ forbearinge one another, and forgeuynge one another, yf eny man haue a quarell agaynst another. Like as Christ hath forgeuen you, euen so do ye also.

¹¹ Beholde we counte them happy which endure. Ye haue hearde of ye paciece of Iob, and haue knowen what ende the LORDE made. For the LORDE is very pitifull and mercifull.

⁸ But in conclusion be ye all of one mynde, one suffre with another, loue as brethren, be pitefull, be curteous. ⁹ Recopence not euell for euell, nether rebuke for rebuke: but cotrary wyse, blesse: and knowe that ye are called therto, euen yt ye shulde be heyres of ye blessynge.

⁷ in godlynes, brotherly loue: in brotherly loue, generall loue.

⁹ But yf we knowlege oure synnes, he is faithfull and iust to forgeue vs oure synnes, & to clense vs from all vnrighteousnes.

¹² Babes, I wryte vnto you, that yor synnes are forgeuen you for his names sake.
