Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had said to him, "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times." And he broke down and wept.

¹ After this Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way he showed himself:

³¹ and for many days he appeared to those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.

⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

⁷ so you should rather turn to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
