¹¹ Here there is no Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free, but Christ is all, and in all.

³⁴ And opening his mouth, Peter said: "I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, ³⁵ but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is welcome to him.

⁴⁶ Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'" ⁴⁸ When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

¹⁷ so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name,'

¹⁷ rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

² The natives showed us unusual kindness, for they kindled a fire and welcomed us all, because it had begun to rain and was cold.

⁴ When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "No doubt this man is a murderer. Though he has escaped from the sea, justice has not allowed him to live."

¹⁴ I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish:

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

¹⁰ How then was it reckoned to him? Was it after he had been circumcised, or before? It was not after, but before he was circumcised. ¹¹ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness which he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be reckoned to them.

¹⁰ But if Christ is in you, although your body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness. ¹¹ If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit who dwells in you.

²⁴ even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles? ²⁵ As indeed he says in Hosea: "I will call them who were not my people 'my people,' and her who was not beloved I will call 'my beloved.'" ²⁶ "And it will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' they will be called 'sons of the living God.'"

³⁰ What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, righteousness through faith; ³¹ but Israel, who pursued the law of righteousness, has not attained that law.

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches on all who call upon him.

⁹ and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: "Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name"; ¹⁰ and again it says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people!" ¹¹ and again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and praise him, all you peoples"; ¹² And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be a root of Jesse; and he who shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in him the Gentiles shall hope." ¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

²⁹ so that no flesh may boast before God. ³⁰ It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

²¹ So then let no one boast of men. For all things are yours, ²² whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future; all belong to you, ²³ and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.

¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what counts.

²¹ Were you a slave when you were called? Do not let it trouble youbut if you can gain your freedom, do so. ²² For he who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord's freedman; likewise he who was free when called is Christ's slave.

¹³ For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one bodywhether Jews or Greeks, slaves or freeand we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

¹¹ If then I do not know the meaning of the language, I will be a foreigner to the one who is speaking, and the speaker will be a foreigner to me.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.

¹⁴ But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. ¹⁵ For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but what counts is a new creation.

²³ which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

⁶ that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs and members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

¹⁷ so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

⁸ knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

⁷ But whatever was gain to me, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. ⁸ More than that, I count everything to be loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ ⁹ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christthe righteousness that comes from God and is by faith,

¹⁰ and you have been made complete in him, who is the head over all rule and authority.

¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

⁹ Anyone who runs ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ does not have God; he who abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
