¹ Indeed, brethren, the delight of my heart and my petition to God for their sake is for salvation."

¹⁰ And now, leave it to Me, that My anger may grow hot against them, so that I may finish them; and I shall make you into a great nation.

¹³ Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself. You spoke to them, saying: I shall increase your seed as the stars of the heavens, and all this land, as I have said, I shall give it to your seed, and they will gain it as an allotment for the eon.

²³ `I, also, far be it from me to sin against Yahweh, by ceasing to pray for you, and I have directed you in the good and upright way;"

¹¹ `I have repented that I caused Saul to reign for king, for he has turned back from after Me, and My words he has not performed;' and it is displeasing to Samuel, and he cries unto Yahweh all the night.

³⁵ And Samuel has not added to see Saul till the day of his death, for Samuel mourned for Saul, and Yahweh repented that He had caused Saul to reign over Israel.

¹⁶ And I hastened not from feeding after You, And the desperate day I have not desired, You--You have known, The produce of my lips, before Your face it has been,

²⁰ Is evil recompensed instead of good, That they have dug a pit for my soul? Remember my standing before You to speak good of them, To turn back Your wrath from them."

³⁴ Jerusalem! Jerusalem! killing the prophets and pelting with stones those who have been dispatched to her! How many times do I want to assemble your children in the manner a hen does her brood under her wings, and you will not!"

³⁴ Yet I am not getting the testimony from man, but I am saying these things that you may be saved."

¹ The truth am I telling in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifying together with me in holy spirit, ² 2 That my sorrow is great, and unintermittent pain is in my heart -" ³ for I myself wished to be anathema from Christ - for my brethren, my relatives according to the flesh,

²⁰ And I became to the Jews as a Jew, that I should be gaining Jews; to those under law as under law (not being myself under law), that I should be gaining those under law;" ²¹ to those without law as without law (not being without God's law, but legally Christ's), that I should be gaining those without law." ²² I became as weak to the weak, that I should be gaining the weak. To all have I become all, that I should undoubtedly be saving some."
