⁸ Hold back from anger, and forsake fury; Do not grow hot; it leads only to evil."

²¹ And David said, `Only, in vain I have kept all that this [one] has in the wilderness, and nothing has been looked after of all that he has, and he turns back to me evil for good;" ²² thus does Elohim do to the enemies of David, and thus He does add, if I leave of all that he has till the light of the morning--of those sitting on the wall.. ²³ And Abigail sees David, and hastes and comes down from off the ass, and falls before David on her face, and bows herself to the earth,

² Indeed vexation shall kill the foolish man, And jealousy shall put the simple one to death.

⁴ O one tearing his soul to pieces in his anger, On account of you shall the earth be forsaken, And the rock be shifted from its place?

²² Yet I, I had said in my consternation, I am severed from in front of Your eyes. Nevertheless, You heard the voice of my supplications In my imploring to You."

¹⁵ If I had said, I will endorse things like this, Behold, I would be treacherous to a generation of Your sons."

¹¹ I said in my consternation, Every human is a liar."

²⁹ He who is slow to anger shows great comprehension, Yet he who is short of spirit heightens folly."

³² He who is slow to anger is better than a masterful man, And he who rules over his spirit than one seizing a city."

¹⁴ Cursed [is] the day in which I was born, The day that my mother bare me, Let it not be blessed!" ¹⁵ Cursed [is] the man who bore tidings [to] my father, saying, `Born to you has been a child--a male,' Making him very glad!"

¹ Yet it is evil to Jonah, a great evil, and it is hot with him."

⁹ Then Elohim is saying to Jonah, Is it good for you to be hot over the gourd? And he is saying, It is good for me to be hot unto death."

⁵⁴ Now perceiving it, His disciples, James and John, say, "Lord, art Thou willing? May we be telling fire to descend from heaven and consume them, as Elijah also does? ⁵⁵ Now, being turned, He rebukes them."

²⁶ Are you indignant, and not sinning? Do not let the sun be sinking on your vexation,

³¹ Let all bitterness and fury and anger and clamor and calumny be taken away from you with all malice,

⁸ Yet now you also be putting away all these: anger, fury, malice, calumny, obscenity out of your mouth."

¹⁹ Now you are aware, my beloved brethren! Yet let every man be swift to hear, tardy to speak, tardy to anger, ²⁰ for the anger of man is not working the righteousness of God.

¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. " ¹⁶ For wherever jealousy and faction are, there is turbulence also, and every bad practice." ¹⁷ Now the wisdom from above is first, indeed, pure, thereupon peaceable, lenient, compliant, bulging with mercy and good fruits, undiscriminating, unfeigned." ¹⁸ Now the fruit of righteousness is being sown in peace for those making peace.
