¹² They are repaying me evil for good, Seeking bereavement to my soul."

⁴ And Jonathan speaks good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, `Let not the king sin against his servant, against David, because he has not sinned against you, and because his works for you [are] very good;" ⁵ yea, he puts his life in his hand, and smites the Philistine, and Yahweh works a great salvation for all Israel; you have seen, and do rejoice, and why do you sin against innocent blood, to put David to death for nought?.

¹⁵ And Saul sends the messengers to see David, saying, `Bring him up in the bed unto me,' --to put him to death.

³¹ for all the days that the son of Jesse lives on the ground you are not established, you and your kingdom; and now, send and bring him unto me, for he [is] a son of death.. ³² And Jonathan answers Saul his father, and said unto him, `Why is he put to death? what has he done?. ³³ And Saul casts the javelin at him to smite him, and Jonathan knows that it has been determined by his father to put David to death.

¹³ And Saul said unto him, `Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, by your giving to him bread and a sword, and to ask for him at Elohim, to rise against me, to lie in wait, as [at] this day?. <sup>14</sup> And Ahimelech answers the king and said, `And who among all your servants [is] as David--faithful, and son-in-law of the king, and has turned aside unto your council, and is honored in your house?

²⁰ Those repaying evil for good, They are my adversaries in my pursuit of the good."

³ With words of hatred, they have surrounded me, And they fight against me gratuitously." ⁴ In return for my love they are my adversaries, Even while I was in prayer." ⁵ They bring evil upon me in return for good, And hatred in return for my love."

¹³ If one returns evil for good, Evil shall not remove itself from his house."

²⁰ Is evil recompensed instead of good, That they have dug a pit for my soul? Remember my standing before You to speak good of them, To turn back Your wrath from them."

²¹ Yet they retorted, saying, "Crucify, crucify him!" ²² Now for the third time he said to them, "What evil does this man? Not one cause of death did I find in him. Disciplining him then, I will release him." ²³ Yet they importuned with loud voices, requesting that He be crucified. And their voices and the chief priests' prevailed."

³² Jesus answered them, "Many ideal acts I show you from My Father. Because of what act of them are you stoning Me?
