¹⁹ He who loves transgression loves strife; He who makes his portal lofty seeks its breaking down.

³⁶ And Abigail comes in unto Nabal, and lo, he has a banquet in his house, like a banquet of the king, and the heart of Nabal [is] glad within him, and he [is] drunk unto excess, and she has not declared to him anything, less or more, till the light of the morning. ³⁷ And it comes to pass in the morning, when the wine is gone out from Nabal, that his wife declares to him these things, and his heart dies within him, and he has been as a stone. ³⁸ And it comes to pass, [in] about ten days, that Yahweh smites Nabal, and he dies,

¹ And it comes to pass afterwards, that Absalom prepares for himself a chariot, and horses, and fifty men are running before him;"

⁵ And Adonijah son of Haggith is lifting himself up, saying, `I do reign;' and he prepares for himself a chariot and horsemen, and fifty men running before him,

¹⁸ Pride goes before a breaking, And a haughty spirit before a stumbling."

¹⁴ The beginning of a quarrel is like opening up a dam of water, So before the contention rails, abandon it."

¹² The heart of a man is haughty before a breaking, Yet humility comes before glory."

²⁷ Prepare your work outside, and equip it for yourself in the field; Afterward you may then build up your household."

²⁰ The oak that you perceived, that increases and is mighty, and its height is reaching to the heavens, and it is perceptible to the entire earth, ²¹ and its leaves are seemly, and its pollination abundant, and sustenance for all is in it, under it the animal of the field is abiding, and in its boughs are roosting the birds of the heavens--"

²⁰ For I fear, lest somehow, on coming, I may not be finding you such as I want, and I may be found by you such as you do not want; lest somehow there be strife, jealousy, fury, factions, vilifications, whisperings, puffing up, turbulences. "

²⁰ for the anger of man is not working the righteousness of God.

¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. " ¹⁶ For wherever jealousy and faction are, there is turbulence also, and every bad practice."
