²⁴ And those going forth from the hand of Kittim will humiliate Assyria and humiliate Eber. Yet he, too, will come unto perishing.

⁴ And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tharshish, Kittim and Rodanim.

²¹ And to Shem sons are born. Moreover, he is the forefather of all the sons of Eber. He is a brother of Japheth, the eldest. ²² The sons of Shem: Elam and Ashur, and Arphaxad and Lud and Aram and Cainan. ²³ And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash. ²⁴ And Arphaxad generates Cainan and Cainan generates Shelach, and Shelach generates Eber. ²⁵ And to Eber two sons are born. The name of one is Peleg, for in his days the land was distributed. And the name of his brother is Joktan.

¹³ And coming is one who was delivered, and he is telling Abram, the Hebrew. Now he is tabernacling among the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. And they are possessors of a covenant with Abram.

²⁰ When he saw Amalek, he took up his discourse and said:First of the nations was Amalek, yet his hereafter will lead unto perishing.

¹ LOAD OF TYRE Howl! Ships of Tharshish. For it is devastated of house and entry. They come no longer from the land of Kittim. A deportation has arrived also to them.

³⁵ Then pulverized, as one, are the iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold, and they are as chaff from summer threshing sites, and the wind lifts them up, and no place at all is found for them. And the stone that collides with the image becomes a vast mountain range, and fills all the earth."

⁴⁵ Forasmuch as you perceived that a stone severs itself from a mountain range, that is, not by hands, and it pulverizes the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great Eloah makes known to the king what shall occur after this. Certain is the dream and faithful its interpretation."

¹⁹ Then I would know the certainty concerning the fourth animal that is diverse from them all, redundantly terrifying:Her teeth of iron, her claws of copper; devouring, pulverizing and stamping upon the remainder with her feet;" ²⁰ and concerning the ten horns that are on her head; and concerning another horn that comes up and the three before it fall, even the same horn with its eyes and a mouth declaring monstrous things, and the vision of it is larger than its partners."

²³ So he speaks again to me, "The fourth animal--it is the fourth kingdom being on the earth, that is diverse from all three kingdoms. She will devour the entire earth and thresh it and pulverize it." ²⁴ The ten horns--from her kingdom are ten kings who will rise, and another one will rise after them. He is diverse from the eastern:Three kings will he abase;" ²⁵ declarations to set aside the Supreme will he declare; to the saints of the supremacies will he bring decay; he is meaning to alter stated times and an edict; and they shall be granted into his hand unto a season and two seasons and the distribution of a season. ²⁶ Yet adjudication sits; and they will cause his authority to pass away, even to exterminate and to destroy till the terminus."

⁵ When I came to consider, behold, a he-goat of the goats is coming from the west over the surface of the entire earth, and there is no touching the earth. The he-goat has a conspicuous horn between his eyes, ⁶ and he is coming unto the ram, the possessor of the two horns (which I see standing before the canal). He is running at him in the fury of his vigor" ⁷ and I see him attaining to the side of the ram. He is bitterly embittered against him and is smiting the ram and breaking his two horns. No vigor remains in the ram to stand before him when he is flinging him to the earth. He is tramping on him and no one comes to rescue the ram from his hand. ⁸ Then the he-goat of the goats magnifies himself unto excess. And as he is staunch, broken is the great horn, and instead of it are coming up four other conspicuous horns to the four winds of the heavens."

²¹ The hairy he-goat is the kingdom of Greece. The great horn which is between its eyes, it is the first king."

²⁶ After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah will be cut off, and there is no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflow, and till the end of the war desolations will be decided." ²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Till the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion will be poured forth on the desolation."

²⁰ Then he is saying to me, "You know why I come to you? Now I will return to fight with the chief of the king of Persia. While I am faring forth, behold, the chief of Greece comes!"

³⁰ For there come against him boats of Chittim. Hence he is sore when he returns. He menaces the holy covenant and makes his opposition effective. While he returns, he has an understanding with those who forsake the holy covenant:"

⁴⁵ He will plant the tents of his regalia between the seas in the stately holy mountain. When he comes unto his end, there is no help for him."

¹⁵ Whenever, then, you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, which is declared through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him who is reading apprehend!);"

²⁴ Show Me a denarius.Now they show Him one, and He said, "Whose image and inscription has it?Now answering, they say, "Caesar's."

²⁹ for lo! coming are days in which they will be declaring, 'Happy are the barren, and the wombs which bear not, and the breasts which do not nourish!'" ³⁰ Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and to the hills, 'Cover us!'" ³¹ For if they are doing these things in the wet wood, what may be occurring in the withered?

⁴⁸ If we should be leaving him thus, all will be believing in him, and the Romans will come and take away our place as well as our nation."

² And he cries with a strong voice, saying, "It falls! It falls! Babylon the great! And it became the dwelling place of demons and the jail of every unclean spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird, ³ for, as a result of the wine of the fury of her prostitution have all the nations fallen. And the kings of the earth commit prostitution with her,and the merchants of the earth are rich as a result of her power to indulge." ⁴ And I hear another voice out of heaven, saying, "Come out of her, My people, lest you should be joint participants in her sins, and lest you should be getting of her calamities, ⁵ for her sins were piled up to heaven, and God remembers her injuries." ⁶ Pay her as she also pays, and double the doubles, in accord with her acts. In her cup in which she blends, blend double for her." ⁷ As much as she glorifies herself and indulges, so much torment and mourning be giving her, for she is saying in her heart, 'I am sitting a queen, and am no widow, and mourning I may by no means see.'" ⁸ Therefore in one day shall her calamities be arriving; death and mourning and famine. And she shall be burned up with fire, for strong is the Lord God Who judges her." ⁹ And the kings of the earth, who commit prostitution and indulge with her, will be lamenting and grieving over her whenever they may be observing the smoke of her conflagration, ¹⁰ standing afar off because of the fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe! Woe! that great city! Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour your judging came.'" ¹¹ And the merchants of the earth are lamenting and mourning over her, for no one is buying their cargo any longer:" ¹² a cargo of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of cambric, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet; including also every kind of citron wood; and every ivory utensil, and every utensil of most valuable wood and of copper and of iron and of marble;" ¹³ including also cinnamon, and ginger, and incenses, and attar, and frankincense; and wine, and oil, and flour, and grain; and beasts, and sheep, and made up of horses, and of coaches, and of bodies, including also human souls." ¹⁴ And the fruition of your yearning soul passed away from you, and all that is sumptuous and splendid perished from you, and they will be finding them no longer under any circumstances.'" ¹⁵ The merchants of these things, who are rich through her, will be standing afar off because of the fear of her torment, lamenting and mourning, ¹⁶ saying, 'Woe! woe! the great city clothed in cambric and purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stones, and pearl, ¹⁷ for in one hour was desolated so much riches!' "And every navigator, and every one who is sailing at the place, and mariners and whoever are working on the sea, stand afar off, ¹⁸ and, observing the smoke of her conflagration, they cried, saying, 'Is there any like this great city?'" ¹⁹ And they cast soil on their heads, and cried, lamenting and mourning, saying, 'Woe! Woe! the great city, by which all who have ships on the sea are rich as a result of its preciousness, for in one hour it was desolated!'" ²⁰ Make merry over her, O heaven, and ye saints and apostles and prophets, seeing that God judges by passing your sentence upon her." ²¹ And one strong messenger lifts a stone, as large as a millstone, and casts it into the sea, saying that "Thus Babylon, the great city, will be hurled down, and nevermore be found in it." ²² And the sound of lyre singers and entertainers, and of flutists and trumpeters should be heard in you nevermore; and every artificer of every trade may be found in you nevermore; and the sound of a millstone should be heard in you nevermore;" ²³ and the light of a lamp may be appearing in you nevermore; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride should be heard in you nevermore; for your merchants were the magnates of the earth, for by your enchantment all nations were deceived." ²⁴ And in it the blood of prophets and of saints was found, and of all of those slain upon the earth."
