¹ The people became like complainers, evil in the ears of Yahweh. Yahweh hearkened and His anger grew hot, and the fire of Yahweh consumed some among them and devoured the outmost part of the camp. ² Then the people cried to Moses, so Moses prayed to Yahweh, and the fire was drowned. ³ He called the name of that place Taberah, for the fire of Yahweh had consumed some among them. ⁴ The rabble which was among them lusted after yearning; and again the sons of Israel lamented also and said:Who shall give us flesh to eat? ⁵ We remember the fish which we ate in Egypt gratuitously, the cucumbers and the melons, the leeks, the onions and the garlic!" ⁶ Yet now our soul's desire is dry; there is nothing at all barring the manna before our eyes. ⁷ Now the manna, it was like coriander seed and its sparkle was like the sparkle of a pearl. ⁸ The people went to and fro, and picked it up, ground it between millstones or crushed it in a crusher, cooked it in a kettle and made ember cakes from it. Its taste was like the taste of cakes fresh with oil. ⁹ At the descent of the night-mist on the camp at night the manna descended on it. ¹⁰ Moses heard the people lamenting by its families, each man at the opening of his tent. And the anger of Yahweh grew exceedingly hot, and in the eyes of Moses it was evil. ¹¹ Moses said to Yahweh:Why have You dealt evil to Your servant? And why have I not found grace in Your eyes that You placed the load of all this people on me? ¹² Was I myself pregnant with all this people, or did I generate it, that You should say to me:Carry it in your bosom just as a foster-father carries a suckling child, to the ground about which You had sworn to their fathers? ¹³ From where would I find flesh to give to all this people? For they are lamenting to me, saying:Do give us flesh and let us eat. ¹⁴ I am not able, by myself alone, to bear all this people, for it is too heavy for me. ¹⁵ So if thus You are doing to me, kill me, I pray, yea kill me. If I have found grace in Your eyes then do not let me see Your evil. ¹⁶ Yahweh said to Moses:Do gather to me seventy men from the elders of Israel of whom you know that they are elders of the people and their superintendents, and take them to the tent of appointment that they station themselves there with you. ¹⁷ I will descend and speak with you there; and I will divert some of the spirit which is on you and place it on them. They will bear the load of the people with you so that you are not bearing it by yourself alone. ¹⁸ And to the people you shall say:Sanctify yourselves for the morrow, when you will eat flesh, for you lamented in the ears of Yahweh, saying:Who shall give us flesh to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt. Now Yahweh will give you flesh, and you will eat. ¹⁹ Not just one day shall you eat, nor two days nor five days nor ten days nor twenty days. ²⁰ Unto a month of days shall you eat until it comes forth from your nostrils and becomes odious to you because you rejected Yahweh Who is among you and lamented before Him, saying:Why is this that we came forth from Egypt? ²¹ Moses said:Six hundred thousand men on foot are the people among whom I am, yet You say:Flesh shall I give to them, and they will eat it for a month of days!" ²² Shall the flock and the herd be slain for them to provide for them, or all the fish of the sea be gathered for them to provide for them? ²³ And Yahweh said to Moses:The hand of Yahweh, is it short? Now shall you see whether My word shall happen to you or not. ²⁴ Moses went forth and spoke to the people the words of Yahweh. And he gathered seventy men from the elders of the people and stood them around the tent. ²⁵ Yahweh descended in a cloud and spoke to him. He caused some of the spirit which was on him to divert, and He put it on the seventy men, the elders. And it came to be as the spirit rested on them that they prophesied, yet they did not do so again. ²⁶ Yet two men remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad and the name of the second Medad. The spirit also rested on them. Now they had been among those listed but had not gone forth toward the tent; yet they prophesied in the camp. ²⁷ Now a youth ran and told Moses and said:Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp! ²⁸ Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses from his prime, answered and said:My lord Moses, forbid them!" ²⁹ Yet Moses said to him:Are you zealous for my sake? O that all the people of Yahweh were prophets! For Yahweh put His spirit on them. ³⁰ Then Moses was gathered to the camp, he and the elders of Israel. ³¹ A wind journeyed from Yahweh and sheered quail from the sea and let go of them over the camp about a day's way thus and a day's way thus around the camp, and they fell about two cubits deep over the surface of the earth. ³² The people rose all that day, all the night and all the morrow and gathered the quail. The least anyone gathered was ten homers. And they spread out the quail for themselves as a spreading round about the camp. ³³ The flesh was still between their teeth, ere it was cut off, when the anger of Yahweh grew hot against the people; and Yahweh smote among the people with a very great smiting. ³⁴ One called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, for there they entombed the people, the lusters. ³⁵ From Kibroth Hattaavah the people journeyed to Hazeroth. When they came to be in Hazeroth

¹⁰ And evil in the eyes of Yahweh is what he does, and, moreover, He is putting him to death also.

²³ When they came to Marah, they were unable to drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore one called its name Marah. ²⁴ Then the people grumbled against Moses, saying: What shall we drink?

² Then the whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness; ³ and the sons of Israel said to them: O that we had died by the hand of Yahweh in the land of Egypt when we sat over the flesh pots when we ate bread to satisfaction, for you have brought us forth to this wilderness to put this entire assembly to death with famine.

⁷ And in the morning then you will see the glory of Yahweh since He heard your grumblings against Yahweh. What are we that you are grumbling against us?

⁹ Then Moses said to Aaron: Say to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, Come near before Yahweh, for He has heard your grumblings.

² So the people contended with Moses and said: Give to us water that we may drink. And Moses said to them: Why are you contending with me? Why are you probing Yahweh? ³ When the people thirsted there for water, the people grumbled against Moses and said: Why is this that you brought us up from Egypt to put me and my sons and my cattle to death by thirst?

² Hence fire came forth from before Yahweh and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.

³³ They journeyed from the mount of Yahweh a way of three days while the coffer of the covenant of Yahweh was journeying before them a way of three days to explore a resting place for them.

³⁵ Then fire came forth from Yahweh and devoured the two hundred fifty men who were bringing near the incense.

² Now no water was for the congregation, and they assembled against Moses and against Aaron. ³ The people contended with Moses and spoke, saying:O that we had expired when our brothers expired before Yahweh!" ⁴ Why did you bring the assembly of Yahweh to this wilderness to die there, we and our livestock? ⁵ And why did you lead us up from Egypt to bring us to this bad place? This is not a place of seed, fig, vine or pomegranate, and there is not even water to drink.

⁵ The people spoke against Elohim and against Moses:Why did you bring us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread and there in no water, and our soul is irritated by the lightly esteemed bread.

²² Also at Taberah and at Massah and at Kibroth-hattaavah you were causing Yahweh to be wrathful.

¹⁸ that he met you on the road and curtailed from you all the stragglers behind you when you were faint and weary; and he was not fearful of Elohim.

²² For a fire will be kindled by My anger, and it shall glow unto the unseen beneath; it shall devour the earth and its crop, and it shall set aflame the foundations of the mountains.

²⁷ and the mourning passes by, and David sends and gathers her unto his house, and she is to him for a wife, and bears to him a son; and the thing which David has done is evil in the eyes of Yahweh.

¹² And Elijah answers and speaks unto them, `If I [am] a man of Elohim, fire does come down from the heavens, and consume you and your fifty;' and fire of Elohim comes down from the heavens, and consumes him and his fifty.

¹⁶ This one was still speaking when another came and said, The fire of Elohim, it fell from the heavens, it consumed the flock and the lads, and it devoured them, yet I escaped, but I myself alone, to tell it to you.

²¹ Wherefore Yahweh heard, and He was enraged, And a fire was ignited against Jacob, And indeed anger ascended against Israel."

¹⁸ Fire consumed in their congregation; A blaze set the wicked aflame.

³³ for arranged since yesterday was the pyre. Moreover it is prepared, yea prepared, for the king, He deepens, He widens its abode for fire and much wood. The breath of Yahweh, as a watercourse of sulphur, is consuming in it."

¹⁴ Afraid are the sinners in Zion, quivering holds the polluted. Who is telling you of the devouring fire? Who is telling you of the glowings eonian?

³⁹ Of what shall a living man complain, a master concerning his sins?

⁵ The mountains quake because of Him, and the hills dissolve. The earth is upheaving because of His presence, and the habitance and all dwelling in it."

⁴³ And if your hand should ever be snaring you, strike it off. It is ideal for you to be entering into life maimed, rather than, having two hands, to come away into Gehenna, into the unextinguished fire" ⁴⁴ where their worm is not deceasing and the fire is not going out. ⁴⁵ And if your foot should be snaring you, strike it off. For it is ideal for you to be entering into life maimed or lame, rather than, having two feet, to be cast into Gehenna, into the unextinguished fire, ⁴⁶ where their worm is not deceasing and the fire is not going out. ⁴⁷ And if your eye should be snaring you, cast it out. It is ideal for you to be entering into the kingdom of God one-eyed, rather than, having two eyes, to be cast into the Gehenna of fire, ⁴⁸ where their worm is not deceasing and the fire is not going out. ⁴⁹ For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be salted with salt. "

¹⁰ Nor yet be murmuring even as some of them murmur, and perished by the exterminator."

²⁹ for our God is also a consuming fire.

⁴ Lo! the wage of the workers, who mow your country places, which has been withheld by you, is crying, and the imploring of the reapers has entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts."

¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, going according to their desires, and their mouth is speaking pompous things, marveling at the aspect of things, on behalf of benefit."

²³ And close is Abraham coming and saying, "Indeed, sweeping up are You the righteous with the wicked? So become the righteous as the wicked. ²⁴ Perhaps, forsooth, fifty righteous are there in the midst of the city. Indeed, sweeping them up are You and not bearing with the entire place on account of the fifty righteous who are within it? ²⁵ Far be it from You to do according to this word, to put to death the righteous with the wicked, and so come the righteous to be as the wicked. Far be it from You! The Judge of the entire earth, will He not execute judgment? ²⁶ And saying is Yahweh, "If finding am I in Sodom fifty righteous in the midst of the city, then bear will I with the entire place for their sake. ²⁷ And answering is Abraham and saying, "Behold, pray! Disposed am I to speak to Yahweh, and I am but soil and ashes. ²⁸ Perhaps lacking are the fifty righteous, five. Ruin wilt You, for five the entire city?And saying is He, "Not ruin it will I if I shall find there forty five. ²⁹ And proceeding is he further to speak to Him and saying, "Perhaps will be found there forty.And saying is He, "Not do it will I for the sake of the forty. ³⁰ And saying is he, "My Lord must not, pray, be hot when I speak. Perhaps will be found there thirty.And saying is He, "Not do it will I if I shall find there thirty. ³¹ And saying is he, "Behold, pray! Disposed am I to speak to my Lord. Perhaps will be found there twenty.And saying is He, "Not ruin it will I, for the sake of the twenty. ³² And saying is he, "My Lord must not, pray, be hot, when I shall speak, yea, once more. Perhaps will be found there ten.And saying is He, "Not ruin it will I, for the sake of the ten. ³³ And going is Yahweh, as He finishes speaking to Abraham. And Abraham returns to his place.

¹⁰ And now, leave it to Me, that My anger may grow hot against them, so that I may finish them; and I shall make you into a great nation. ¹¹ Then Moses beseeched the face of Yahweh his Elohim and said: Why, Yahweh, has Your anger grown hot against Your people whom You have brought forth from the land of Egypt with great vigor and with a steadfast hand? ¹² Why should the Egyptians speak, saying: For evil He brings them forth to kill them in the mountains and to finish them off the surface of the ground? Turn back from the heat of Your anger and show mercy concerning the evil to Your people. ¹³ Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself. You spoke to them, saying: I shall increase your seed as the stars of the heavens, and all this land, as I have said, I shall give it to your seed, and they will gain it as an allotment for the eon. ¹⁴ So Yahweh showed mercy concerning the evil which He spoke of doing to His people.

³¹ So Moses returned to Yahweh and said: Oh! this people has sinned a great sin, and they made for themselves an elohim of gold. ³² And now, if You should bear their sin, bear it. Yet if not, wipe me, I pray, from Your scroll which You have written.

⁹ and said: I pray, if I find grace in Your eyes, my Lord, I pray, let my Lord go among us, for they are a stiff-necked people, and You will pardon our depravity and our sins, and You will gain us an allotment.

¹³ Yet Moses said to Yahweh:The Egyptians have heard that You brought up this people by Your vigor, from among them;" ¹⁴ and they have spoken to the dwellers of this land; they have heard that You, Yahweh, are among this people, that You are being seen eye to eye, Yahweh, and Your cloud is standing over them, and in a column of cloud You are going before them by day and in a column of fire by night. ¹⁵ If You put this people to death as one man, then the nations who heard the report of You will say, saying. ¹⁶ Because Yahweh was unable to bring this people to the land about which He had sworn to them, He slew them in the wilderness. ¹⁷ So now let, I pray, the vigor of Yahweh be great just as You have spoken, saying. ¹⁸ Yahweh, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, bearing with depravity and transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but is visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation. ¹⁹ Pardon, I pray, the depravity of this people according to the greatness of Your kindness just as You bore with this people from Egypt and hitherto. ²⁰ Yahweh said:I have pardoned them according to your word.

⁴⁵ Get away from the midst of this congregation so that I may finish them in a moment. Then they fell on their faces. ⁴⁶ Moses said to Aaron:Take the fire-pan and put fire from the altar on it and place incense on it and go quickly to the congregation and make a propitiatory shelter over them, for wrath goes forth from before Yahweh! The stroke has started!" ⁴⁷ So Aaron took it, just as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the stroke had started among the people. He put the incense on and make a propitiatory shelter over the people. ⁴⁸ He stood between the dead and the living, and the stroke was restrained.

⁷ The people came to Moses and said:We have sinned, for we have spoken against Yahweh and against you. Pray to Yahweh that He may take the serpents away from us. So Moses prayed about the people.

¹⁹ For I shrank away from the presence of the anger and the fury with which Yahweh was wrathful against you enough to exterminate you. But Yahweh hearkened to me even at that time. ²⁰ Against Aaron Yahweh showed Himself exceedingly angered, enough to exterminate him. So I prayed also about Aaron at that time.

³⁴ Whenever He killed them, then they sought after Him, And they returned and sought early for El." ³⁵ Then they remembered that Elohim is their Rock, And El, the Supreme, is their Redeemer."

²³ He said that He would exterminate them, Except that Moses, His chosen one, Stood in the breach before Him, To turn back His fury from bringing ruin on them."

⁴ Perhaps Yahweh, your Elohim, will hear the words of the grand cupbearer, whom the king of Assyria, his lord, sends to reproach the living Elohim, and He will correct him, in view of the words which Yahweh, your Elohim, hears, and you will lift up a prayer to Yahweh, your Elohim, about the remnant that is being found in this city.'"

¹ And Yahweh said unto me:Though Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people, Send from before My face, and they go out."

³ And Zedekiah the king sends Jehucal son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest, unto Jeremiah the prophet, saying, `Pray, we beseech you, for us unto Yahweh our Elohim.'"

² and they say unto Jeremiah the prophet, `Let, we pray you, our supplication fall before you, and pray for us unto Yahweh your Elohim, for all this remnant; for we have been left a few out of many, as your eyes do see us;"

² And it comes, when they finish devouring the herbage of the land, then I am saying, My Lord Yahweh, pardon, pray; who shall raise Jacob, for he is small? ³ Yahweh regrets over this. It shall not come to be, says Yahweh." ⁴ Thus my Lord Yahweh shows me:And behold! my Lord Yahweh is calling to contend by fire. And it is devouring the vast submerged chaos, and it devours the portion of Yahweh." ⁵ And I am saying, My Lord Yahweh, forbear, pray; who shall raise Jacob, for he is small? ⁶ Yahweh regrets over this. Moreover, it shall not come to be, says my Lord Yahweh."

²⁴ Now answering, Simon said, "You beseech the Lord for my sake so that nothing may be coming on me which you have declared."

²⁶ For such a Chief Priest also became us, benign, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and coming to be higher than those of the heavens,

¹⁶ Then confess sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The operative petition of the just is availing much."

¹ My little children, these things am I writing to you that you may not be sinning. And if anyone should be sinning, we have an Entreater with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Just." ² And He is the propitiatory shelter concerned with our sins, yet not concerned with ours only, but concerned with the whole world also."

¹⁶ If anyone should be perceiving his brother sinning a sin not to death, he shall be requesting, and He will be giving him life for those sinning not to death. There is a sin to death: I am not saying that he should be asking concerning that."

³⁸ Moreover a mixed multitude ascended with them, and flocks, herds and cattle, exceedingly heavy.

¹⁰ The son of an Israelitish woman (he was the son of an Egyptian man) had come forth in the midst of the sons of Israel. Now the son of the Israelitess and an Israelite man strove together in the camp, ¹¹ and the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the name of Yahweh, and he maledicted it. So they brought him to Moses. (Now the name of his mother was Shelomith daughter of Dibri of the stock of Dan..

³ And it comes to pass, at their hearing the law, that they separate all the mixed people from Israel.

¹⁸ They probed El in their heart By requesting food for their soul. ¹⁹ So they spoke against Elohim; they said, Is El able to arrange a table in the wilderness? ²⁰ Behold, He smote the rock, and waters gushed out, And the watercourses overflowed, But is He able to give bread? Or can He prepare meat for His people?

¹⁴ They lusted with yearning in the wilderness, And they tried El in the desolation."

¹⁴ but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be making no provision for the lusts of the flesh."

⁶ Now these things became types of us, for us not to be lusters after evil things,

³³ Be not deceived: evil conversations are corrupting kind characters.

³ and the sons of Israel said to them: O that we had died by the hand of Yahweh in the land of Egypt when we sat over the flesh pots when we ate bread to satisfaction, for you have brought us forth to this wilderness to put this entire assembly to death with famine.

¹⁴ From such men by Your hand, O Yahweh, From such men of transience; Their portion is in this life, And You fill their belly with what You have stored up; They are satisfied with sons, And they leave their surplus to their descendants."

¹⁹ whose consummation is destruction, whose god is their bowels, and whose glory is in their shame, who to the terrestial are disposed."

⁴ and said to him, `Wherefore [are] you thus lean, O king's son, morning by morning? do you not declare to me?' And Amnon said to him, `Tamar--sister of Absalom my brother--I am loving..

¹² and the gold of that land is exceedingly good. There is the pearl and the onyx stone.

¹⁴ and the lying of the night mist went up; and behold, on the surface of the wilderness was a thin flake, thin as hoarfrost, on the earth. " ¹⁵ When the sons of Israel saw it, they said, each man to his brother: What is it? for they did not know what it was, So Moses said to them: It is the bread which Yahweh has given to you for food.

³¹ The sons of Israel called its name Manna. It was as a seed of white coriander and its taste as cakes with honey.

²³ yet we are heralding Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a snare, yet to the nations stupidity, ²⁴ yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God,

¹⁷ '"Who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit is saying to the ecclesias. "'"To the one who is conquering, to him will I be giving of the hidden manna, and I shall be giving him a white pebble and on the pebble a new name written, of which no one is aware except the one who is obtaining it."'"

¹⁶ This is the matter which Yahweh has instructed: Pick up of it each man corresponding to his eating, an omer for a poll, numbering your souls: each man for those who are in his tent shall you take. ¹⁷ Now the sons of Israel did so. Some picked up an increase and some a decrease. ¹⁸ They measured with an omer, yet the increase had caused no superfluity, and the decrease had caused no lack. Each man corresponding to his eating they had picked it up.

²³ then he said to them: This is what Yahweh has spoken, A cessation, a holy sabbath to Yahweh is tomorrow. What you are baking, bake, and what you are cooking, cook, and all the superfluity, leave it in your charge until the morning. "

²⁷ Do not work for the food which is perishing, but for the food which is remaining for life eonian, which the Son of Mankind will be giving to you, for this One God, the Father, seals."

³³ but My Father is giving you Bread out of heaven, the true, for the Bread of God is He Who is descending out of heaven and giving life to the world." ³⁴ They said, then, to Him, "Lord! always be giving us this Bread!" ³⁵ Jesus, then, said to them, "I am the Bread of life. He who is coming to Me should under no circumstances be hungering, and he who is believing in Me will under no circumstances ever be thirsting." ³⁶ But I said to you that you have also seen Me and you are not believing Me. ³⁷ All that which the Father is giving to Me shall be arriving to Me, and he who is coming to Me I should under no circumstances be casting out, ³⁸ for I have descended from heaven, not that I should be doing My will, but the will of Him Who sends Me." ³⁹ Now this is the will of Him Who sends Me, that all which He has given to Me, of it I should be losing nothing, but I shall be raising it in the last day." ⁴⁰ For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who is beholding the Son and believing in Him may have life eonian, and I shall be raising him in the last day." ⁴¹ The Jews, then, murmured concerning Him, that He said, "I am the Bread which descends out of heaven." ⁴² And they said, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, with whose father and mother we are acquainted? How, then, is he saying that 'Out of heaven have I descended'? ⁴³ Jesus, then, answered and said to them, "Do not murmur with one another." ⁴⁴ No one can come to Me if ever the Father Who sends Me should not be drawing him. And I shall be raising him in the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets: And they shall all be taught of God. Everyone, then, who hears from the Father and is learning the truth, is coming to Me." ⁴⁶ Not that the Father has been seen by anyone, except by the One Who is from God. This One has seen the Father." ⁴⁷ Verily, verily, I am saying to you that he who is believing in Me has life eonian." ⁴⁸ I am the Bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died." ⁵⁰ This is the Bread which is descending out of heaven that anyone may be eating of it and may not be dying. ⁵¹ I am the living Bread which descends out of heaven. If anyone should be eating of this Bread, he shall be living for the eon. Now the Bread also, which I shall be giving for the sake of the life of the world, is My flesh." ⁵² The Jews, then, fought with one another, saying, "How then can this one give us his flesh to eat? ⁵³ Jesus, then, said to them, "Verily, verily, I am saying to you, If you should not be eating the flesh of the Son of Mankind and drinking His blood, you have no eonian life in yourselves." ⁵⁴ He who is masticating My flesh and drinking My blood has life eonian, and I shall be raising him in the last day, ⁵⁵ for My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink." ⁵⁶ He who is masticating My flesh and drinking My blood is remaining in Me, and I in him." ⁵⁷ According as the living Father commissions Me, I, also, am living because of the Father. And he who is masticating Me, he also will be living because of Me." ⁵⁸ This is the Bread which descends out of heaven. Not according as the fathers ate and died; he who is masticating this Bread shall be living for the eon."

¹³ When it came to be in the evening, quail came up and covered the camp. In the morning the lying of the night mist came to be around the camp;" ¹⁴ and the lying of the night mist went up; and behold, on the surface of the wilderness was a thin flake, thin as hoarfrost, on the earth. "

² My monition shall trickle as rain, and my saying shall distil as night mist:As drizzle on verdure, and as the showers on herbage.

²³ Yet He enjoined the skies above, And He opened the double doors of the heavens." ²⁴ He rained on them manna to eat, And He gave them grain of the heavens." ²⁵ Each one ate bread of sturdy ones; He sent provision to them, to satisfaction."

⁴⁰ They asked, and He brought forth quail, And He satisfied them with bread from the heavens."

³ Now the man Moses was exceedingly humble, more than any human who was on the surface of the ground.

¹ The whole congregation lifted up and gave forth their voice, and the people lamented through that night. ² All the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them:O that we had died in the land of Egypt or in this wilderness! O that we had died!

²⁷ They moved away from the tabernacles of Korah, Dathan and Abiram, away from around them. As for Dathan and Abiram, they went forth, standing up at the opening of their tents with their wives, their sons and their little ones.

¹⁰ Moses and Aaron assembled the assembly before the crag, and he said to them:Hear, I pray, you rebels! From this crag shall we bring forth water for you? ¹¹ When Moses raised up his hand and smote the crag with his rod twice, then much water came forth, and the congregation and their livestock drank. ¹² Yet Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron:Because you did not believe in Me to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I will give to them. ¹³ These were the waters of Meribah where the sons of Israel contended with Yahweh, and He showed Himself holy among them.

⁵⁹ Elohim heard, and He was enraged, And He utterly rejected Israel."

²⁵ And they murmured in their tents; They did not hearken to the voice of Yahweh.

³² They prompted wrath at the waters of Meribah, And it was evil for Moses for their sake" ³³ Because they provoked his spirit, And he talked rashly with his lips."

²¹ Do I not hate those hating You, O Yahweh, And with those rising against You, am I not disgusted?

²⁵ Therefore the anger of Yahweh of hosts is hot among His people, and He is stretching out His hand over them, and smiting them. And disturbed are the chiefs, and their carcasses are becoming as sweepings within the streets. In all this His anger does not reverse, and His hand is outstretched still."

⁴ And you have let go--even through yourself, Of your inheritance that I gave to you, And I have caused you to serve your enemies, In a land that you have not known, For a fire you have kindled in Mine anger, Unto the eon it does burn."

⁵ And looking about on them with indignation, commiserating the callousness of their hearts, He is saying to the man, "Stretch out your hand.And he stretches it out, and his hand was restored."

¹⁴ Yet, perceiving it, Jesus resents it, and said to them, "Let the little children be coming to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God."

²² Moses returned to Yahweh and said: Yahweh, why have You done evil to this people? And why is this that You have sent me?

⁴ So Moses cried to Yahweh, saying: What shall I do for this people? A little further and they will stone me.

¹⁵ So if thus You are doing to me, kill me, I pray, yea kill me. If I have found grace in Your eyes then do not let me see Your evil.

¹² How shall I alone bear the encumbrance of you, and the load of you and your contention?

² I shall say to Eloah, O do not condemn me! Let me know for what reason You contend with me!"

³ If You should keep account of depravities, O Yah, O Yahweh, who should stand?

² O do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For no living one at all can be righteous before You."

¹⁰ Woe to me, my mother, For you have borne me a man of strife, And a man of contention to all the land, I have not lent on usury, Nor have they lent on usury to me--All of them are reviling me."

¹⁸ Why has my pain been perpetual? And my wound incurable? It has refused to be healed, You are surely to me as a failing stream, Waters not stedfast."

⁷ You have persuaded me, O Yahweh, and I am persuaded; You have hardened me, and do prevail, I have been for a laughter all the day, Every one is mocking at me, ⁸ Because from the time I speak I cry out, `Violence and destruction,' I cry, For the word of Yahweh has been to me For reproach and for derision all the day." <sup>9</sup> And I said, `I do not mention Him, Nor do I speak any more in His name,' And it has been in my heart As a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I have been weary of containing, And I am not able."

¹⁴ Cursed [is] the day in which I was born, The day that my mother bare me, Let it not be blessed!" ¹⁵ Cursed [is] the man who bore tidings [to] my father, saying, `Born to you has been a child--a male,' Making him very glad!" ¹⁶ Then has that man been as the cities, That Yahweh overthrew, and repented not, And he has heard a cry at morning, And a shout at time of noon." ¹⁷ Because he has not put me to death from the womb, And my mother is to me--my grave, And her womb a pregnancy eonian." ¹⁸ Why [is] this? from the womb I have come out, To see labor and sorrow, Yea, consumed in shame are my days!"

²² It is by Yahweh's benignities that we have not come to end, that His compassions are not finished;" ²³ They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness;

³⁹ Of what shall a living man complain, a master concerning his sins? ⁴⁰ Let us search and investigate our ways and return unto Yahweh;

¹⁴ You say, It is futility to serve Elohim. And what gain is it that we keep His charge, and that we go somberly in view of Yahweh of hosts?

²⁸ apart from what is outside, that which is coming upon me daily, the solicitude for all the ecclesias. "

¹⁵ for all the land which you are seeing, to you am I giving it, and to your seed, till the eon.

¹⁶ By Myself I swear, averring is Yahweh, that, because you have done this thing and have not kept back your son, your only one, from Me, ¹⁷ that, blessing, yea, blessing you am I, and increasing, yea, increasing your seed am I as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the sea shore. And your seed shall tenant the gateway of its enemies,

³ Sojourn in this land, and I come to be with you and will bless you. For to you and to your seed will I give all these lands, and carry out will I the oath which I swore to Abraham, your father.

²⁴ And saying is Joseph to his brothers, "I am dying. Yet visit, yea, visit will the Elohim you, and bring you up from this land to the land which the Elohim swore to our forefathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

⁵ It will come to be when Yahweh your Elohim shall have brought you to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Hivite and the Jebusite about which He swore to your fathers to give to you, a land gushing with milk and honey, then you will serve with this service in this month.

¹¹ As a shepherd He is grazing His drove, and in His arm He is cuddling the lambkins, and in His bosom He is carrying them. The pregnant He is comforting. The unweaned He is conducting."

¹⁵ Will a woman forget her child, not to have compassion on the son of her belly? Even if these a woman will forget, yet I will not forget you,says Yahweh."

²³ and kings become your foster fathers, and their chiefesses your wet nurses. Nostrils to the earth, shall they prostrate to you, and the soil at your feet shall they lick up. Then you shall know that I am Yahweh, and those expecting Me shall not be ashamed."

²³ And have raised up over them one shepherd, And he has fed them--my servant David, He does feed them, and he is their shepherd,

¹¹ I am the Shepherd ideal. The ideal shepherd is laying down his soul for the sake of the sheep.

¹⁹ Little children mine, with whom I am travailing again until Christ may be formed in you!"

⁷ But we became gentle in your midst, as a nurse should be cherishing her own children."

³³ And the disciples are saying to Him, "From whence, in a wilderness, is so much bread for us, so as to satisfy so much of a throng?

⁴ And His disciples answered Him that "Whence can anyone satisfy these with bread here in a wilderness?

²³ Now Jesus said to him, "Why the if? You are able to believe. All is possible to him who is believing."

⁵ Jesus, then, lifting up His eyes and gazing - for a vast throng is coming toward Him - is saying to Philip, "Whence should we be buying bread that these may be eating? ⁶ Now this He said to try him, for He was aware what He was about to be doing." ⁷ Then Philip answered Him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each may get a bit." ⁸ One of His disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, is saying to Him, ⁹ There is a lad here who has five cakes of barley bread and two food fishes. But what are these for so many?

¹⁸ You are wearing out, yea wearing out both yourself and this people who are with you, for this matter is too heavy for you. You cannot do it by yourself alone.

⁹ I spoke to you at that time saying:I am not able to bear you alone. ¹⁰ Yahweh your Elohim, He has made you multiply, and behold, you are today like the stars of the heavens for multitude. ¹¹ May Yahweh Elohim of your fathers add to you a thousand times as many as you are, and may He bless you just as He promised to you. ¹² How shall I alone bear the encumbrance of you, and the load of you and your contention?

¹⁹ Then You spoke in a vision to Your benign ones, And You said:I have poised help on a master; I have exalted one chosen from the people."

⁶ For a Boy is born to us; a Son is given to us, and the chieftainship shall come to be on His shoulder, and His name is called "Marvelous.Counsel to the master shall He bring, to the chief of the future, welfare."

¹³ even he shall build the temple of Yahweh, and he shall bear the splendor. And he shall sit and rule on his throne, and there comes to be a priest at his throne, and the counsel of welfare shall come to be between the two of them."

¹⁶ to these, indeed, an odor of death for death, yet to those an odor of life for life. And for this who is competent?

³² And now, if You should bear their sin, bear it. Yet if not, wipe me, I pray, from Your scroll which You have written.

⁴ and he himself has gone into the wilderness a day's Journey, and comes and sits under a certain retem-tree, and desires his soul to die, and said, `Enough, now, O Yahweh, take my soul, for I [am] not better than my fathers..

²⁰ Why is He giving light to the miserable, And life to the bitter of sou. ²¹ (Who tarry for death, yet it is not coming, And they delve for it more than for buried treasures, ²² Who rejoice unto exultation, And they are elated when they find the tomb),

⁸ O that He would grant that my request would come, That Eloah would grant my expectation, ⁹ That Eloah would be disposed to crush me! May He let loose His hand and clip me off! ¹⁰ Then there would still be some consolation for me, And I would caper in this travail which He is not sparing, For I have not suppressed the words of the Holy One.

¹⁵ So my soul would choose strangling; Death is desired by my bones.

¹⁸ Why [is] this? from the womb I have come out, To see labor and sorrow, Yea, consumed in shame are my days!"

³ And now, Yahweh, take, I pray, my soul from me, for better is my death than my life."

⁸ And it is coming as the sun rises, that Elohim is assigning a hot east wind, and the sun is smiting on the head of Jonah, and he is swooning. And he is asking for his soul to die and is saying, Better is my death than my life." ⁹ Then Elohim is saying to Jonah, Is it good for you to be hot over the gourd? And he is saying, It is good for me to be hot unto death."

¹⁵ Yahweh takes away your judgments; He faces your enemies about. The King of Israel, Yahweh, is within you; you shall see no further evil."

²⁰ in accord with my premonition and expectation, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death." ²¹ For to me to be living is Christ, and to be dying, gain." ²² Now if it is to be living in flesh, this to me means fruit from work, and what I shall be preferring I am not making known." ²³ (Yet I am being pressed out of the two, having a yearning for the solution and to be together with Christ, for it, rather, is much better.)" ²⁴ Yet to be staying in the flesh is more necessary because of you.

⁴ Now let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and unimpaired, lacking in nothing."

²⁷ And the sons of Joseph who are born to him in Egypt are two souls. All the souls pertaining to the house of Jacob coming to Egypt are seventy-five.

²⁹ Then Moses and Aaron went and gathered all the elders of the sons of Israel.

¹ Then to Moses He said: Ascend to Yahweh, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and bow yourselves down from afar.

⁹ Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel ascended.

¹⁵ So I took the heads of your tribes, men wise and known, and I placed them as heads over you, chiefs of thousands, chiefs of hundreds, chiefs of fifties, chiefs of tens and as superintendents for your tribes.

¹⁸ You shall appoint judges and superintendents for yourselves in all your gates which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you for your tribes; and they will judge the people with just judgment.

²⁸ Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes and your superintendents, and let me speak in their ears all these words, and let me summon the heavens and the earth to testify against them.

¹¹ and seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel--and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing in their midst--are standing before them, and each his censer in his hand, and the abundance of the cloud of perfume is going up."

¹ Now after these things the Lord indicates seventy-two others also, and He dispatches them two by two before His face into every city and place where He was about to be entering."

¹⁷ Now the seventy-two return with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Thy name!"

⁵ And descending is Yahweh to see the city and the tower which the sons of humanity build.

³ And falling is Abram on his face.

²² And finishing is He speaking with him, and ascending is the Elohim from Abraham.

²⁰ And saying is Yahweh, "Seeing that the outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is much, and that their sin is exceedingly heavy, ²¹ descend will I, pray, and see, do they according to all the cry which is coming to Me? And if not, I will know. ²² And facing thence are the mortals, and they are going to Sodom. And Yahweh still is standing before Abraham.

³³ And going is Yahweh, as He finishes speaking to Abraham. And Abraham returns to his place.

²² And they will judge the people in every season. Yet it will be that every great matter of dispute they shall bring to you, and every small matter shall they judge themselves. Lighten yourself from what is on you, and they will bear it with you.

¹¹ and come to be prepared for the third day; for on the third day Yahweh shall descend on Mount Sinai before the eyes of all the people.

²⁰ Yahweh descended on Mount Sinai to the summit of the mountain; then Yahweh called Moses to the summit of the mountain, and Moses ascended.

⁵ Then Yahweh descended in a cloud and stationed Himself with him there; and he called the name of Yahweh.

²⁵ Yahweh descended in a cloud and spoke to him. He caused some of the spirit which was on him to divert, and He put it on the seventy men, the elders. And it came to be as the spirit rested on them that they prophesied, yet they did not do so again.

⁵ Yahweh descended in the column of cloud and stood at the opening of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam. And the two of them went forth.

⁸ Mouth to mouth am I speaking with him, and manifestly, not in enigmas, so that he looks at a representation of Yahweh. So for what reason did you not fear to speak against My servant, against Moses?

¹⁸ Yahweh said to Moses:Take to you Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom there is spirit, and support your hands on him;"

⁶ and prospered over you has the Spirit of Yahweh, and you have prophesied with them, and have been turned to another man;"

⁹ And it comes to pass, at their passing over, that Elijah has said unto Elisha, `Ask, what do I do for you before I am taken from you?' and Elisha said, `Then let there be, I pray you, a double portion of your spirit unto me;.

¹⁵ And they see him--the sons of the prophets who [are] in Jericho--over-against, and they say, `Rested has the spirit of Elijah on Elisha;' and they come to meet him, and bow themselves to him to the earth,

²⁰ `And Your good Spirit You have given, to cause them to act wisely; and Your manna You have not withheld from their mouth, and water You have given to them for their thirst,

³ For I will pour water on the thirsty, and floods on the dry land. I will pour My spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring."

²⁰ And there comes to Zion the Redeemer, and "He shall turn back transgression from Jacob,averring is Yahweh." ²¹ And I--this is My covenant with them,says Yahweh. "My spirit, which is on you, and My word, which I place in your mouth, shall not remove from your mouth, or from the mouth of your seed, or from the mouth of your seed's seed,says Yahweh, "Henceforth and till the eon."

²⁸ And it comes afterward, I shall pour out My spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your elders shall dream dreams, your chosen ones shall see visions."

¹³ And no one has ascended into heaven except He Who descends out of heaven, the Son of Mankind Who is in heaven."

³⁹ Now this He said concerning the spirit which those believing in Him were about to get. For not as yet was holy spirit given, for Jesus is not as yet glorified."

³ Now, brethren, pick out seven attested men from among you, full of the spirit and of wisdom, whom we will place over this need." ⁴ Yet we shall be persevering in prayer and the dispensation of the word."

⁹ Yet you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if so be that God's spirit is making its home in you. Now if anyone has not Christ's spirit, this one is not His."

¹² Now we obtained, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God, that we may be perceiving that which is being graciously given to us by God,

⁴ Now there are apportionments of graces, yet the same spirit, ⁵ and there are apportionments of services, and the same Lord, ⁶ and there are apportionments of operations, yet the same God Who is operating all in all." ⁷ Now to each one is being given the manifestation of the spirit, with a view to expedience." ⁸ For to one, indeed, through the spirit, is being given the word of wisdom, yet to another the word of knowledge, according to the same spirit" ⁹ yet to another faith, by the same spirit, yet to another the graces of healing, by the one spirit, ¹⁰ yet to another operations of powerful deeds, yet to another prophecy, yet to another discrimination of spirits, yet to another species of languages, yet to another translation of languages." ¹¹ Now all these one and the same spirit is operating, apportioning to each his own, according as He is intending."

⁸ Surely, in consequence, then, he who is repudiating is not repudiating man, but God, Who is also giving His holy spirit to you."

²² Having purified your souls, by the obedience of truth, for unfeigned fondness for the brethren, love one another out of a true heart earnestly,

¹⁹ These are those who isolate themselves, soulish, not having the spirit."

² And saying is Jacob to his household and to all who are with him, "Take away the foreign elohim which are in your midst, and clean yourselves, and change your garments.

³ and the sons of Israel said to them: O that we had died by the hand of Yahweh in the land of Egypt when we sat over the flesh pots when we ate bread to satisfaction, for you have brought us forth to this wilderness to put this entire assembly to death with famine. ⁴ Then Yahweh said to Moses: Behold Me causing bread from the heavens to rain for you. When the people will go forth they will pick up a day's matter in its day, that I may probe them, whether they shall go by My law or not. ⁵ And it will come to be on the sixth day when they prepare what they are bringing in that there will come to be a duplicate amount over that which they are picking up day by day. ⁶ So Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel: This evening, then you will know that it was Yahweh Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt. ⁷ And in the morning then you will see the glory of Yahweh since He heard your grumblings against Yahweh. What are we that you are grumbling against us?

¹⁰ Then Yahweh said to Moses: Go to the people, and you will hallow them today and tomorrow; let them rinse their garment.

¹⁵ Then he said to the people: Be prepared for three days; do not come close to a woman.

⁴ The rabble which was among them lusted after yearning; and again the sons of Israel lamented also and said:Who shall give us flesh to eat? ⁵ We remember the fish which we ate in Egypt gratuitously, the cucumbers and the melons, the leeks, the onions and the garlic!" ⁶ Yet now our soul's desire is dry; there is nothing at all barring the manna before our eyes.

² All the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them:O that we had died in the land of Egypt or in this wilderness! O that we had died! ³ Why is Yahweh bringing us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones shall be taken as plunder. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?

¹³ `Rise, sanctify the people, and you have said, Sanctify yourselves for to-morrow; for thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, A devoted thing [is] in your midst, O Israel, you are not able to stand before your enemies till your turning aside of the devoted thing out of your midst;"

² And the people come in to Beth-El, and sit there till the evening before Elohim, and lift up their voice, and weep--a great weeping,

³⁹ to whom our fathers are not willing to become obedient, but they thrust him away, and turned to Egypt in their hearts,

⁸ And Moses said: Since Yahweh gives to you in the evening flesh to eat and bread in the morning to satisfy, when Yahweh heard your grumblings which you are grumbling against Him, then what are we? Not against us are your grumblings, but rather against Yahweh.

¹³ When it came to be in the evening, quail came up and covered the camp. In the morning the lying of the night mist came to be around the camp;"

²⁷ And Joshua said unto all the people, `Lo, this stone is against us for a witness, for it has heard all the sayings of Yahweh which He has spoken with us, and it has been against you for a witness, lest you lie against your Elohim..

³⁰ `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed.

¹⁹ and you to-day have rejected your Elohim, who [is] Himself your saviour out of all your evils and your distresses, and you say, `Nay, but--a king you do set over us; and now, station yourselves before Yahweh, by your tribes, and by your thousands..

¹⁰ `And now, the sword does not turn aside from your house unto the eon, because you have despised Me, and do take the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be to you for a wife;"

²⁷ So He rained meat on them like soil dust, And the winged flyer like sand of the seas." ²⁸ And He cast them down within His camp, Round about His Grand Tabernacle." ²⁹ They ate and were surfeited exceedingly, And He brought all their yearning to them." ³⁰ Yet they were not alienated from their yearning; Their food was still in their mouth,

¹⁵ So He gave them their request, And He sent sustenance for their soul."

⁷ The soul that is surfeited tramples on honeycomb, Yet to the famished soul, any bitter thing is sweet."

⁶ A son will glorify a father, and a servant his lord. Yet if a Father am I, where is My glory? And if a Lord am I, where is My fear? says Yahweh of hosts to you, the priests who are despising My name. Yet you say, In what way do we despise Your name?

⁴¹ Perceive, you despisers, and marvel, and disappear! for a work am I working in your days - a work which you should by no means be believing if anyone should be detailing it to you."

² And make you will I into a great nation, and bless you will I and make your name great, and become must you a blessing.

³⁷ The sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses toward Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, those of mastery, besides the little ones.

²⁶ a bekah for a pole (half a shekel, by the shekel of the holy place) for everyone passing over onto those mustered from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.

⁴⁶ so all the ones being mustered came to be six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

³² These are the ones being mustered of the sons of Israel by their father's house. All the ones being mustered of the camps by their militia hosts are six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

² And the captain whom the king has, by whose hand he has been supported, answers the man of Elohim and said, `Lo, Yahweh is making windows in the heavens--shall this thing be?' and he said, `Lo, you are seeing it with your eyes, and thereof you do not eat..

³⁷ Yet He, answering, said to them, "You give them to eat.And they are saying to Him, "Coming away, should we buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them to eat?

¹⁸ And Zechariah said to the messenger, "By what shall I know this? For I am aged, and my wife is advanced in her days."

³⁴ Yet Miriam said to the messenger, "How shall this be, since I know not a man?

⁶ Now this He said to try him, for He was aware what He was about to be doing." ⁷ Then Philip answered Him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each may get a bit."

⁹ There is a lad here who has five cakes of barley bread and two food fishes. But what are these for so many?

¹⁴ Is it a matter too marvelous for Yahweh Elohim? At the appointed time will I return to you according to the season of life, and Sarah has a son.

¹⁹ El is not a man that He should lie. Nor a son of humanity that He should feel regret. Does He say it and then not do it? Or speak and then not carry it out?

¹⁷ And the king has appointed the captain, by whose hand he is supported, over the gate, and the people tread him down in the gate, and he dies, as the man of Elohim spoke, which he spoke in the coming down of the king unto him, ¹⁸ yea, it comes to pass, according to the speaking of the man of Elohim unto the king, saying, `Two measures of barley at a shekel, and a measure of fine flour at a shekel are, at this time to-morrow, in the gate of Samaria;. <sup>19</sup> and the captain answers the man of Elohim, and said, `And lo, Yahweh is making windows in the heavens--it is according to this word?' and he said, `Lo, you are seeing with your eyes, and thereof you do not eat;.

⁴¹ They were again and again probing El, And the Holy One of Israel they set as a mark."

² For what reason, when I came, was there no man? I called, and there was no answer? Is My hand too short to ransom? Or should no vigor be in Me to rescue? Behold! By My rebuke will I drain the sea; I will convert streams into a wilderness. Their fish will dry up, because there is no water, and they will die from thirst."

¹ Behold! The hand of Yahweh is not too short to save! And His ear is not too heavy to hear!

²⁸ `And the escaped of the sword turn back out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, few in number, and known have all the remnant of Judah who are coming into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, whose word is established, Mine or theirs." <sup>29</sup> `And this [is] to you the sign--an affirmation of Yahweh--that I am seeing after you in this place, so that you know that My words are certainly established against you for evil;"

²⁵ For I [am] Yahweh, I speak, The word that I speak--it is done, It is not prolonged any more, For, in your days, O rebellious house, I speak a word, and I have done it, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

¹⁴ I, Yahweh, has spoken, It has come, and I have done [it], I do not free, nor do I spare, nor do I repent, According to your ways, and according to your acts, they have judged you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

⁷ Is this said, house of Jacob:Is the spirit of Yahweh shortened if these be His actions? Are not My words doing good with the one going uprightly?

²⁶ Now, looking at them, Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, yet with God all is possible."

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words may by no means be passing by."

³⁷ seeing that it will not be impossible with God to fulfill His every declaration."

¹⁶ Yahweh said to Moses:Do gather to me seventy men from the elders of Israel of whom you know that they are elders of the people and their superintendents, and take them to the tent of appointment that they station themselves there with you.

²⁶ Yet two men remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad and the name of the second Medad. The spirit also rested on them. Now they had been among those listed but had not gone forth toward the tent; yet they prophesied in the camp.

³⁸ for the cloud of Yahweh was over the tabernacle by day, and fire, it came to be in it by night for the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their journeyings.

¹⁷ I will descend and speak with you there; and I will divert some of the spirit which is on you and place it on them. They will bear the load of the people with you so that you are not bearing it by yourself alone.

⁵ `Afterwards you do come unto the hill of Elohim, where the garrison of the Philistines [is], and it comes to pass, at your coming in thither to the city, that you have met a band of prophets coming down from the high place, and before them psaltery, and tabret, and pipe, and harp, and they are prophesying;" ⁶ and prospered over you has the Spirit of Yahweh, and you have prophesied with them, and have been turned to another man;"

¹⁰ and they come in thither to the height, and lo, a band of prophets--to meet him, and prosper over him does the Spirit of Elohim, and he prophesies in their midst.

²⁰ And Saul sends messengers to take David, and they see the assembly of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing, set over them, and the Spirit of Elohim is on Saul's messengers, and they prophesy--they also. ²¹ And they declare [it] to Saul, and he sends other messengers, and they prophesy--they also; and Saul adds and sends messengers a third time, and they prophesy--they also. ²² And he goes--he also--to Ramath, and comes in unto the great well which [is] in Sechu, and asks, and said, `Where [are] Samuel and David?' and [one] said, `Lo, in Naioth in Ramah.. ²³ And he goes thither--unto Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of Elohim is upon him--him also; and he goes, going on, and he prophesies till his coming in to Naioth in Ramah, ²⁴ and he strips off--he also--his garments, and prophesies--he also--before Samuel, and falls down naked all that day and all the night; therefore they say, `Is Saul also among the prophets?.

⁷ In the cloud column He spoke to them; They kept His testimonies and the statute He gave to them.

⁵ And Jeremiah commands Baruch, saying, `I am restrained, I am not able to enter the house of Yahweh;" ⁶ but you have entered--and you have read in the roll that you have written from my mouth, the words of Yahweh, in the ears of the people, in the house of Yahweh, in the day of the fast, and also in the ears of all Judah who are coming in from their cities you do read them;"

²⁸ And it comes afterward, I shall pour out My spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your elders shall dream dreams, your chosen ones shall see visions." ²⁹ And, moreover, on the servants and on the maids in those days shall I pour out My spirit."

³⁴ Now, at his saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them. Now they were afraid at their entering into the cloud." ³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud saying, "This is My Son, The Chosen; Him be hearing."

¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days,' (God is saying) 'I shall be pouring out from My spirit on all flesh, And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your youths visions shall be seeing, And your elders dreams shall be dreaming, ¹⁸ And surely on My men slaves and on My women slaves in those days shall I be pouring out from My spirit,' and they shall be prophesying."

²⁸ Now one of them, named Agabus, rising, signifies through the spirit, the great famine which is about to be on the whole inhabited earth, which occurred under Claudius."

⁹ Now there were four daughters of this man, virgins, prophesying." ¹⁰ Now at our staying on more days, a certain prophet came down from Judea, named Agabus." ¹¹ And coming to us and picking up Paul's girdle, binding his own feet and hands, he said, "Now this the holy spirit is saying, 'The man whose girdle this is, shall the Jews in Jerusalem be binding thus, and they shall be giving him over into the hands of the nations.'"

⁴ Every man praying or prophesying having aught on his head, is disgracing his Head." ⁵ Yet every woman praying or prophesying with uncovered head, is disgracing her head, for it is one and the same as being shaven."

¹ Be pursuing love. Yet be zealous for spiritual endowments, yet rather that you may be prophesying." ² For he who is speaking in a language is not speaking to men, but to God, for no one is hearing, yet in spirit he is speaking secrets." ³ Yet he who is prophesying is speaking to men for edification and consolation and comfort.

³² And the spiritual endowments of prophets are subject to the prophets.

¹⁷ All good giving and every perfect gratuity is from above, descending from the Father of lights, in Whom there is no mutation or shadow from revolving motion."

²¹ For not by the will of man was prophecy carried on at any time, but, being carried on by holy spirit, holy men of God speak."

¹¹ Yet Moses said to the One, Elohim: Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring forth the sons of Israel from Egypt?

¹³ Yet he said: O, my Lord! Send, I pray, by the hand of whomsoever You should send. ¹⁴ Then the anger of Yahweh grew hot against Moses. And He said: Is there not Aaron, the Levite, your brother? I know that he can speak, yea speak. And, moreover, behold, he is coming forth to meet you, and he will see you and rejoice in his heart.

²² And they ask again at Yahweh, `Has the man yet come hither?' and Yahweh said, `Lo, he has been hidden near the vessels..

²⁶ And Saul has not spoken anything on that day, for he said, `It [is] an accident; he is not clean--surely not clean..

⁶ And I say, `Ah, Lord Yahweh! lo, I have not known--to speak, for I [am] a youth.'"

⁹ And Moses said to Joshua: Choose men for us and go forth. Fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will be stationed on the summit of the hill with the rod of Elohim in my hand.

¹¹ So Yahweh spoke to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his associate. When he returned to the camp then his minister, Joshua son of Nun, a youth, did not remove himself from the midst of the tent.

¹ And it comes to pass after the death of Moses, servant of Yahweh, that Yahweh speaks unto Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses, saying,

³⁸ John averred to Him, saying, "Teacher, we perceived someone casting out demons in Thy name, who is not following us, and we forbade him, for he followed not with us." ³⁹ Yet Jesus said, "Be not forbidding him, for there is no one who will be doing a powerful deed in My name, and will be able swiftly to speak evil of Me." ⁴⁰ For who is not against us is for us.

⁴⁹ Now, answering, John said, "Doctor, we perceived someone casting out demons in Thy name, and we forbade him, for he is not following with us." ⁵⁰ Yet Jesus said to him, "Be not forbidding, for he who is not against you is for you."

²⁶ And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, He Who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, to Whom you have testified, lo! this One is baptizing and all are coming to Him."

³⁷ Then He is saying to His disciples, "The harvest, indeed, is vast, yet the workers are few." ³⁸ Beseech, then, the Lord of the harvest, so that He should be ejecting workers into His harvest."

²⁹ Yet Paul, "May I ever wish to God, that briefly as well as greatly, not only you, but also all who are hearing me today, become such a kind as I am also, outside of these bonds!"

³ for you are still fleshly. For where there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and walking according to man?

²¹ So that, let no one be boasting in men, for all is yours,

⁴ Love is patient, is kind. Love is not jealous. Love is not bragging, is not puffed up,

⁵ Now I want you all to be speaking in languages, yet rather that you may be prophesying, for greater is he who is prophesying than he who is speaking in languages, outside and except he may be interpreting, that the ecclesia may be getting edification."

¹⁵ Some, indeed, are even heralding Christ because of envy and strife, yet some because of delight also;" ¹⁶ these, indeed, of love, having perceived that I am located for the defense of the evangel, ¹⁷ yet those are announcing Christ out of faction, not purely, surmising to rouse affliction in my bonds." ¹⁸ What then? - Morever, seeing that, by every method, whether in pretense or truth, Christ is being announced, I am rejoicing in this also, and will be rejoicing nevertheless."

³ nothing according with faction, nor yet according with vainglory - but with humility, deeming one another superior to one's self,

¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. "

⁵ Or are you supposing that the scripture is saying this for naught? Is the spirit which dwells in us longing to envy?

⁹ Be not groaning, brethren, against one another, lest you may be judged. Lo! the Judge stands before the doors."

¹ Putting off, then, all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envies and all vilifications,

¹³ So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh drove an east wind into the land all that day and all the night. The morning came, and the east wind carried the locust swarm along.

¹⁹ Then Yahweh turned an exceedingly steadfast sea wind, and it carried away the locust swarm and blew it toward the Sea of Weeds. Not one locust remained within the entire boundary of Egypt.

¹⁰ You made a breeze with Your wind; the sea covered them. They submerged as lead in the noble waters.

²⁶ He made an east wind to journey in the heavens, And He drove forth a south wind by His strength." ²⁷ So He rained meat on them like soil dust, And the winged flyer like sand of the seas." ²⁸ And He cast them down within His camp, Round about His Grand Tabernacle." ²⁹ They ate and were surfeited exceedingly, And He brought all their yearning to them."

⁷ He Who is causing vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth, He has made sluices for the rain, Who is bringing forth the wind from His treasure vaults."

³⁶ (Now an omer, it is a tenth of the ephah..

¹¹ The ephah and the bath is of one measure, for the bath to bear a tenth of the homer, and the ephah a tenth of the homer:according to the homer is its measurement."

⁴⁹ Now those dead by the stroke were fourteen thousand seven hundred, aside from those dead over the matter of Korah.

⁹ Those dying in the stroke were twenty-four thousand.

²⁷ Yahweh shall smite you with the boil of Egypt, with piles, with eczema and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed.

³⁰ Yet they were not alienated from their yearning; Their food was still in their mouth, ³¹ When the anger of Elohim ascended against them; He killed the stoutest of them, And the choice ones of Israel He cut off."

¹⁴ They lusted with yearning in the wilderness, And they tried El in the desolation." ¹⁵ So He gave them their request, And He sent sustenance for their soul."

¹⁶ They journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai and encamped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

¹⁶ Thereafter the people journeyed from Hazeroth and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.

¹⁷ They journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah and encamped at Hazeroth.

¹ These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel in Transjordan in the wilderness, in the Aravah opposite Suph between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Di-zahab.
