³ Under the entire heavens He unleashes it, And His lightning over the wings of the earth.

³⁵ Can you send forth the lightning bolts that they may go? And do they say to you, Here we are?

³⁰ And caused to be heard by Yahweh is the splendor of His voice, and the dismay of His arm shall He show. In the turbulence of anger, and the blaze of a devouring fire, He will crash and storm, and do it with hail stones heavy."

¹⁴ Then Yahweh shall appear over them, and His arrow shall fare forth as a flash. And my Lord Yahweh shall blow with a trumpet, and He goes with tempests of the south."

² Yet who will endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is coming like a refiner's fire, and as launderers' soap."

⁵ Behold! I will send to you Elijah, the prophet, before the coming of the great and fearful day of Yahweh."

²⁰ And Jesus is saying to him, "The jackals have burrows, and the flying creatures of heaven roosts, yet the Son of Mankind has no where that He may be reclining His head."

³ Now at His sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign of Thy presence and of the conclusion of the eon?

³⁷ For even as the days of Noah, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind."

³⁹ and did not know till the deluge came and takes them all away, thus shall be the presence of the Son of Mankind."

²⁴ For even as the lightning, flashing out from here under heaven to there under heaven, is shining, thus will be the Son of Mankind in His day." ²⁵ Yet first He must be suffering many things and be rejected by this generation. ²⁶ And according as it occurred in the days of Noah, thus will it be in the days of the Son of Mankind also." ²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they took out in marriage, until the day on which Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came and destroys them all." ²⁸ Likewise, according as it occurred in the days of Lot, they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built." ²⁹ Yet on the day in which Lot came out from Sodom, fire and sulphur rains from heaven and destroys them all." ³⁰ In accord with these will it be on the day in which the Son of Mankind is unveiled. ³¹ In that day, he who shall be on the housetop and his gear in his house, let him not be descending to pick it up. And let the one in the field likewise not turn back to that behind him." ³² Remember Lot's wife. ³³ Whosoever should be seeking to procure his soul will be destroying it, yet whoever should be destroying it will cause it to live." ³⁴ I am saying to you, in this night there will be two on one couch; the one shall be taken along and the other shall be left." ³⁵ There will be two grinding at the same place; the one shall be taken along, yet the other shall be left." ³⁶ -³⁷ And answering, they are saying to Him, "Where, Lord?Yet He said to them, "Wherever the body is, there the vultures also will be assembled."

⁸ You also, then, be patient; establish your hearts, for the presence of the Lord is near."

⁴ and saying, "Where is the promise of His presence? For since the fathers were put to repose, all is continuing thus from the beginning of creation."
