¹⁵ One slew it, and Moses took the blood and put some of it on the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and he made a sin offering on the altar; and the rest of the blood he poured out at the foundation of the altar and hallowed it to make a propitiatory shelter over it.

¹⁰ You will bring the young bull near before the tent of appointment, and Aaron and his sons will support their hands on the head of the young bull. ¹¹ You will slay the young bull before Yahweh at the portal of the tent of appointment, ¹² take some of the blood of the young bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger. And you shall pour out all the rest of the blood at the foundation of the altar.

³⁶ A young bull as a sin offering shall you offer day by day for propitiatory shelters; you will make a sin offering on the altar when you make your propitiatory shelter on it. And you will anoint it to hallow it. ³⁷ Seven days shall you make a propitiatory shelter on the altar and hallow it. Thus the altar becomes a holy of holies. All that touches the altar shall be holy.

⁵ Then he will slay the bull calf of the herd before Yahweh; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will bring near the blood and sprinkle the blood against the altar round about which is at the opening of the tent of appointment.

¹¹ Then he will slay it on the flank of the altar northward before Yahweh; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will sprinkle its blood against the altar round about.

² He will support his hand on the head of his approach present and slay it at the opening of the tent of appointment. And the sons of Aaron, the priests, will sprinkle the blood against the altar round about.

⁸ and support his hand on the head of his approach present and slay it before the opening of the tent of appointment; and the sons of Aaron will sprinkle its blood against the altar round about.

⁷ And the priest will put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of the incense of spices before Yahweh, which is in the tent of appointment. All the rest of the blood of the young bull shall he pour out at the foundation of the altar of ascent offering which is at the opening of the tent of appointment.

¹⁷ The priest will dip his finger into the blood and spatter it seven times before Yahweh, at the surface of the curtain of the holy place. ¹⁸ And some of the blood the priest shall put on the horns of the altar of the incense of spices before Yahweh, which is in the tent of appointment. All the rest of the blood shall he pour out at the foundation of the altar of ascent offering which is at the opening of the tent of appointment.

³⁰ And the priest will take some of its blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of ascent offering. All the rest of its blood shall he pour out at the foundation of the altar.

³⁰ Yet any sin offering from which blood is brought into the tent of appointment to make a propitiatory shelter in the holy place shall not be eaten. In fire shall it be burned.

²⁰ When he has finished making a propitiatory shelter for the holy place and the tent of appointment and the altar, he will bring near the live hairy goat.

²⁴ and the priests slaughter them, and make a sin-offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel, for `For all Israel,' said the king, `[is] the burnt-offering and the sin-offering..

¹⁹ And you have given unto the priests, the Levites, who [are] of the seed of Zadok--who are near unto Me, an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, to serve Me--a calf from the herd, for a sin-offering." ²⁰ And you have taken of its blood, and have put it on its four horns, and on the four corners of its border, and on the border round about, and have cleansed it, and purified it." ²¹ And you have taken the bullock of the sin-offering, and have burnt it in the appointed place of the house at the outside of the sanctuary." ²² And on the second day you do bring near a kid of the goats, a perfect one, for a sin-offering, and they have cleansed the altar, as they cleansed [it] for the bullock." ²³ In your finishing cleansing, you do bring near a calf, a son of the herd, a perfect one, and a ram out of the flock, a perfect one." ²⁴ And you have brought them near before Yahweh, and the priests have cast upon them salt, and have caused them to go up, a burnt-offering to Yahweh." ²⁵ Seven days you do prepare a goat for a sin-offering daily, and a bullock, a son of the herd, and a ram out of the flock, perfect ones, do they prepare." ²⁶ Seven days they purify the altar, and have cleansed it, and filled their hand." ²⁷ And the days are completed, and it has come to pass on the eighth day, and henceforth, the priests prepare on the altar your burnt-offerings and your peace-offerings, and I have accepted you--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

²⁰ And so you do do on the seventh of the month, because of each erring one, and because of the simple one--and you have purified the house."

²⁴ Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city:To detain transgression, to cause sin to end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophet, to anoint the holy of holies."

¹⁰ For if, being enemies, we were conciliated to God through the death of His Son, much rather, being conciliated, we shall be saved in His life."

¹⁸ Yet all is of God, Who conciliates us to Himself through Christ, and is giving us the dispensation of the conciliation, ¹⁹ how that God was in Christ, conciliating the world to Himself, not reckoning their offenses to them, and placing in us the word of the conciliation." ²⁰ For Christ, then, are we ambassadors, as of God entreating through us. We are beseeching for Christ's sake, "Be conciliated to God!" ²¹ For the One not knowing sin, He makes to be a sin offering for our sakes that we may be becoming God's righteousness in Him."

¹⁶ and should be reconciling both in one body to God through the cross, killing the enmity in it."

²¹ And you, being once estranged and enemies in comprehension, by wicked acts, yet now He reconciles" ²² by His body of flesh, through His death, to present you holy and flawless and unimpeachable in His sight,

¹⁷ Whence He ought, in all things, to be made like the brethren, that He may be becoming a merciful and faithful Chief Priest in that which is toward God, to make a propitiatory shelter for the sins of the people."

¹⁸ Whence neither the first has been dedicated apart from blood. ¹⁹ For, every precept being spoken by Moses to the entire people according to the law, taking the blood of calves and of he-goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, he sprinkles both the scroll itself and the entire people, ²⁰ saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God directs for you." ²¹ Now the tabernacle also, and all the vessels of the ministry he likewise sprinkles with the blood." ²² And almost all is being cleansed in blood according to the law, and apart from bloodshedding is coming no pardon." ²³ It was necessary, then, for the examples, indeed, of that in the heavens to be cleansed with these, yet the celestial things themselves with better sacrifices than these."
