² And Joshua said unto all the people, `Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Beyond the River have your fathers dwelt of old--Terah father of Abraham and father of Nachor--and they serve other elohims;"

²⁶ And living is Terah seventy years, and begetting is he Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

¹⁵ and if wrong in your eyes to serve Yahweh--choose for you to-day whom you do serve; --whether the elohims whom your fathers served, which [are] beyond the River, or the elohims of the Amorite in whose land you are dwelling; and I and my house--we serve Yahweh..

² Look to Abraham, your forefather, and to Sarah, who travailed with you, for one was he when I called him and blessed him, and I loved him and will increase him."

³ Thus said the Lord Yahweh to Jerusalem:Your birth and your nativity [Are] of the land of the Canaanite, Your father the Amorite, and your mother a Hittite."
