²⁰ In a moment they die; At midnight the people reel and pass away, And the sturdy are taken away by no human hand.

²⁹ It came to be at midnight that Yahweh, He smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, sitting on his throne, unto the firstborn of the captive who was in the house of the cistern, and every firstborn of beast. ³⁰ When Pharaoh rose by night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians, then there came to be a great cry in all the land of Egypt, for there was no house where there was no one dead.

³⁷ And it comes to pass in the morning, when the wine is gone out from Nabal, that his wife declares to him these things, and his heart dies within him, and he has been as a stone. ³⁸ And it comes to pass, [in] about ten days, that Yahweh smites Nabal, and he dies, ³⁹ and David hears that Nabal [is] dead, and said, `Blessed [is] Yahweh who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and His servant has kept back from evil, and the wickedness of Nabal has Yahweh turned back on his own head;' and David sends and speaks with Abigail, to take her to him for a wife.

¹⁰ And David said, `Yahweh lives; except Yahweh does smite him, or his day come that he has died, or into battle he go down, and has been consumed-.

¹⁹ Causing priests to go forth looted, He also overthrows the well-established.

²⁰ Do not gasp for the night When peoples ascend to their place.

¹⁹ How they will become a desolation, as in a moment! They will be swept up; they will be finished by decadence!"

¹⁶ Wherefore, the Lord Yahweh of hosts will send upon his stout ones leanness. And under his glory will glow a glowing as the glowing of fire." ¹⁷ And the Light of Israel will come to be a fire, and his Holy One to be a blaze, and it consumes and devours his spines and his buckthorns in one day, ¹⁸ and quenched is the glory of his wildwood, and his crop land. From the soul and unto the flesh, will He finish. And it comes to be as a fleeing when fleeing from a consuming blaze." ¹⁹ And the remainder of the trees of his wildwood will be a number that a lad will list them.

¹³ wherefore, this depravity will come to you as a falling breach, an extrusion in a wall impregnable, of which, suddenly, in an instant, its break is coming."

³⁰ And caused to be heard by Yahweh is the splendor of His voice, and the dismay of His arm shall He show. In the turbulence of anger, and the blaze of a devouring fire, He will crash and storm, and do it with hail stones heavy." ³¹ For by the voice of Yahweh, Assyria is dismayed, with a club will He smite them." ³² And it comes that every passing of the disciplinary rod, which Yahweh will rest on them, is with tambourines and with harps. And with waving battles He fights against them, ³³ for arranged since yesterday was the pyre. Moreover it is prepared, yea prepared, for the king, He deepens, He widens its abode for fire and much wood. The breath of Yahweh, as a watercourse of sulphur, is consuming in it."

³⁶ And faring forth is a messenger of Yahweh and smiting in the Assyrian camp a hundred and eighty five thousand. And the king is rising early in the morning--and behold! All of them are corpses--dead!

³⁸ And he is coming to worship in the house of Nisroch, his elohim, and Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, smite him with the sword. Yet they escape into the land of Ararat, and reigning is Esarhaddon, his son, in his stead."

³⁴ You were perceiving till a stone severs itself, that is, not by hands, and it collides with the image at its feet that were of iron and clay, and pulverizes them."

⁴⁴ In their days, that is, of these kings, the Eloah of the heavens will set up a kingdom that for the eons shall not come to harm. His kingdom shall not be left to another people. It will pulverize and terminate all these kingdoms, and it shall be confirmed for the eons." ⁴⁵ Forasmuch as you perceived that a stone severs itself from a mountain range, that is, not by hands, and it pulverizes the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great Eloah makes known to the king what shall occur after this. Certain is the dream and faithful its interpretation."

³⁰ In the same night Belshazzar is despatched, the king of the Chaldeans. Thus the interpretation comes on Belshazzar the king:The kingdom is taken away from the Chaldeans and given to the Medes and Persians."

⁶ And I am saying, No, my lord. And he is answering and speaking to me, saying, This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying:Not by valor, nor by vigor, but rather by My spirit, says Yahweh of hosts."

⁶ Now in the middle of the night a clamor occurs: 'Lo! the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'

²⁰ Yet God said to him, 'Imprudent one! In this night your soul are they demanding from you. Now, what you make ready, whose will it be?'"

²⁶ And according as it occurred in the days of Noah, thus will it be in the days of the Son of Mankind also." ²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they took out in marriage, until the day on which Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came and destroys them all." ²⁸ Likewise, according as it occurred in the days of Lot, they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built." ²⁹ Yet on the day in which Lot came out from Sodom, fire and sulphur rains from heaven and destroys them all."

²³ Now instantly a messenger of the Lord smites him, because he gives not the glory to God, and, becoming the food of worms, he gives up his soul."

² for you yourselves are accurately aware that the day of the Lord is as a thief in the night - thus is it coming!

³ and in greed, with suave words, they will traffic in you, whose judgment of old is not idling, and their destruction is not nodding."
