¹¹ Secure is Moab from his youth, And at rest [is] he for his preserved things, And he has not been emptied out from vessel unto vessel, And into captivity he has not gone, Therefore has his taste remained in him, And his fragrance has not been changed."

¹⁹ El shall hear, and He shall answer them, The Dweller from aforetime, {Interlude{ He in Whom there are no changes; Yet they do not fear Elohim."

⁴ For there are no hindrances for them; Robust and plump is their physique. ⁵ They are not involved in the toil of a mortal, And they are not touched by ills with humanity." ⁶ Wherefore pride is their necklace; Violence is draping about them like a burnoose. ⁷ Their eye protrudes from fat; Vain fancies pass through their heart. ⁸ They belittle and speak with evil intent; From their height they are plotting extortion.

⁴ For itself is our soul greatly surfeited With the derision of the self-satisfied, With the contempt of the proud."

³² For the instability of the simple, it shall kill them, And the carelessness of the stupid, it shall destroy them."

⁶ We hear of the pomp of Moab. Exceedingly proud is his pride, and his pomp and his rage. Wherefore his pretenses."

³ Voided, yea voided shall be the land, and plundered, yea plundered shall be the ground. For the mouth of Yahweh speaks this word."

⁶ And Yahweh of hosts makes for all peoples, in this mountain, a feast of oils, a feast of lees, of oils from marrows, of filtered lees."

²⁹ We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, Exceeding proud! His haughtiness, and his arrogance, And his pride, and the height of his heart,

³⁴ Devoured us, crushed us, has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, He has set us [as] an empty vessel, He has swallowed us as a dragon, He has filled his belly with my dainties, He has driven us away."

⁴⁹ Lo, this has been the iniquity of Sodom your sister, Arrogancy, fulness of bread, and quiet ease, Have been to her and to her daughters, And the hand of the afflicted and needy She has not strengthened." ⁵⁰ And they are haughty and do abomination before Me, And I turn them aside when I have seen."

² For Yahweh has reversed the pomp of Jacob, as the pomp of Israel. For the voiders have voided them, and they ruin their pruned slips."

¹⁰ She is void and voided and evacuated:And the heart is melted, and a quavering of the knees, and a sore travail in all waists, and the faces of them all draw together in frustration."

¹² It comes at that season I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I visit evil on the mortals who are curdled on their lees, those saying in their heart, Yahweh will not do good, nor will He do evil."

¹⁵ and with great wrath am I wroth over the nations that are tranquil. When I was a little wroth, then they helped toward the evil."
