⁹ Know, you peoples, and be dismayed! And give ear, all you far from the land! Belt yourselves and be dismayed! Belt yourselves and be dismayed!" ¹⁰ Counsel with counsel, yet it shall be annulled! Speak the word, yet it shall not be confirmed! For with us is El!"

⁷ According to the smiting of their smiter will He smite them? Should He, according to the killing of their killers, kill?

⁹ Wherefore, in this will be a propitiatory shelter for the depravity of the house of Jacob, and this is My propitiatory shelter, to take away his sin. When he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones shattered, the fetishes of happiness and warmed horn altars will not rise."

¹⁰ You must not fear, for I am with you, and you must not take heed for yourself, for I am your Elohim. I make you resolute; indeed, I help you. Indeed, I uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'"

² In case you are passing through the waters, I am with you. And through the streams, they shall not overflow you. In case you are going through fire, you shall not be scorched, and the blaze shall not consume among you."

²³ By Myself I swear. From My mouth fares forth righteousness, and My word shall not be recalled. For to Me shall bow every knee, and every tongue shall acclaim to Elohim."

¹⁹ and they have fought against you, and they prevail not against you; for with you [am] I, --an affirmation of Yahweh--to deliver you."

²⁷ For thus said Yahweh:All the land is a desolation, but a completion I make not."

¹⁰ Go you up on her walls, and destroy, And a completion make not, Turn aside her branches, for they [are] not Yahweh's,

¹⁸ And even in those days, an affirmation of Yahweh, I do not make you a completion."

²⁴ Chastise me, O Yahweh, only in judgment, Not in Your anger, lest You make me small."

²⁰ And I have made you to this people For a wall--brazen--fenced, And they have fought against you, And they do not prevail against you, For with you [am] I to save you, And to deliver you--an affirmation of Yahweh,

⁹ Lo, I am sending, and have taken all the families of the north--an affirmation of Yahweh--even unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and have brought them in against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations round about, and have devoted them, and appointed them for an astonishment, and for a hissing, and for wastes eonian."

⁴² `For thus said Yahweh:As I brought in unto this people all this great evil, so I am bringing in on them all the good that I am speaking concerning them;" ⁴³ and bought has been the field in this land of which you are saying, A desolation it [is], without man and beast, it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans." ⁴⁴ Fields with money they buy, so as to write in a book, and to seal, and to cause witnesses to testify, in the land of Benjamin, and in suburbs of Jerusalem, and in cities of Judah, and in cities of the hill-country, and in cities of the low country, and in cities of the south, for I turn back their captivity--an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

²⁴ `Have you not considered what this people have spoken, saying:The two families on which Yahweh fixed, He does reject them, And my people they despise--So that they are no more a people before them!" ²⁵ Thus said Yahweh:If My covenant [is] not daily and nightly, The statutes of heaven and earth I have not appointed--" ²⁶ Also the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, I reject, Against taking from his seed rulers For the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, For I turn back [to] their captivity, and have pitied them.'"

³⁵ Then pulverized, as one, are the iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold, and they are as chaff from summer threshing sites, and the wind lifts them up, and no place at all is found for them. And the stone that collides with the image becomes a vast mountain range, and fills all the earth."

⁸ Behold! the eyes of my Lord Yahweh are on the sinning kingdom, and I will exterminate it off the surface of the ground, only that I will not utterly exterminate the house of Jacob, (averring is Yahweh)." ⁹ For behold! I am instructing, and I will jerk the house of Israel to and fro, among all nations, just as grain in a sieve is jerked to and fro, yet a pouch-full shall not fall to the earth."

² WITH A SONG Yahweh, I hear Your report, I fear, Yahweh, Your contrivance; within the years make it live; within the years are You informing. In the disturbance You are remembering compassion."

²³ "Lo! The virgin shall be pregnant
And shall be bringing forth a Son,
And they shall be calling His name 'Emmanuel,'
which is, being construed, "God with us."

²⁰ teaching them to be keeping all, whatever I direct you. And lo! I am with you all the days till the conclusion of the eon! Amen!"

¹⁰ because I am with you, and no one shall place hands on you to illtreat you, because there are many people of Mine in this city."

¹⁵ For if their casting away is the conciliation of the world, what will the taking back be if not life from among the dead? ¹⁶ Now if the firstfruit is holy, the kneading is also; and if the root is holy, the boughs are also." ¹⁷ Now if some of the boughs are broken out, yet you, being a wild olive, are grafted among them, and became a joint participant of the root and fatness of the olive,

³² Yet, being judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world."

¹⁷ May it not be reckoned against them! Yet the Lord stood beside me, and He invigorates me, that through me the heralding may be fully discharged, and all the nations should hear; and I am rescued out of the mouth of the lion."

⁵ And you have been oblivious of the entreaty which is arguing with you as with sons: My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lord, Nor yet faint when being exposed by Him." ⁶ For whom the Lord is loving He is disciplining, Yet He is scourging every son to whom He is assenting." ⁷ For discipline are you enduring. As to sons is God bringing it to you, for what son is there whom the father is not disciplining? ⁸ Now if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, consequently you are bastards and not sons." ⁹ Thereafter, indeed, we had the fathers of our flesh as discipliners, and we respected them. Yet shall we not much rather be subjected to the Father of spirits and be living." ¹⁰ For these, indeed, disciplined for a few days as it seemed best to them, yet that One for our expedience, for us to be partaking of His holiness."

¹⁹ '"Whosoever I may be fond of, I am exposing and disciplining. Be zealous, then, and repent!"
