¹⁹ For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach of my youth."

⁴¹ so that I Myself also went contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies), if then their uncircumcised heart should submit, and if then they should accept their depravity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob and also My covenant with Isaac; also My covenant with Abraham shall I remember, and the land shall I remember.

² and that you will return again to Yahweh your Elohim and hearken to His voice according to all that I am instructing you today, you and your sons, with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁶ Yahweh your Elohim will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed so as to love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may stay alive. ⁷ Then Yahweh your Elohim will put all these imprecations on your enemies and on those hating you, who persecute you. ⁸ As for you, you shall return, and you will hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim; you will obey all His instructions that I am enjoining on you today.

⁶ and said:My Elohim, I am ashamed and confounded to raise up my face to You, my Elohim, for our depravities, they are abundant, above our heads, and our guilt is towering unto the heavens.

²⁶ That You may write bitter things against me, And impute to me the depravities of my youth,

¹¹ His bones were filled by his adolescence, Yet that gain shall lie with him in the soil.

⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth and my transgressions; According to Your benignity, remember me, I pray You, On account of Your goodness, O Yahweh."

⁴ You must not fear, for you are not shamed, and you must not be confounded, for you shall not be abashed. For the shame of your adolescence will you forget, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no longer."

²⁵ We have lain down in our shame, and cover us does our confusion, For against Yahweh our Elohim we have sinned, We, and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, Nor have we hearkened to the voice of Yahweh our Elohim!"

²¹ I have spoken unto you in your ease, You have said, `I do not hearken,' This [is] your way from your youth, For you have not hearkened to My voice."

³⁰ For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been only doing evil in Mine eyes, from their youth; for the sons of Israel are only provoking Me with the work of their hands--an affirmation of Yahweh."

⁹ And remembered Me have your escaped among nations, Whither they have been taken captive, Because I have been broken with their heart that is going a-whoring, That has turned aside from off Me, And with their eyes they are going a-whoring after their idols, And they have been loathsome in their own faces, For the evils that they have done--all their abominations."

⁶¹ And you have remembered your ways, And you have been ashamed, In your receiving your sisters--Your elder with your younger, And I have given them to you for daughters, And not by your covenant." ⁶² And I--I have established My covenant with you, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ⁶³ So that you do remember, And you have been ashamed, And there is not to you any more an opening of the mouth because of your shame, In My receiving atonement for you, For all that you have done, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

⁴³ And you have remembered there your ways, And all your doings, In which you have been defiled, And you have been loathsome in your own faces, For all your evils that you have done." ⁴⁴ And you have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My dealing with you for My name's sake, Not according to your evil ways, And according to your corrupt doings, O house of Israel, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

¹² Cry and howl, son of man, For it has been among My people, It [is] among all the princes of Israel, Cast unto the sword have been My people. Therefore strike on your thigh,

³ And they go a-whoring in Egypt, In their youth they have gone a-whoring, There they have bruised their breasts, And there they have dealt with the loves of their virginity."

²⁶ And I have given to you a new heart, And a new spirit I give in your midst, And I have turned aside the heart of stone out of your flesh, And I have given to you a heart of flesh."

³¹ And you have remembered your ways that [are] evil, And your doings that [are] not good, And have been loathsome in your own faces, For your iniquities, and for your abominations."

¹⁰ Yet I pour out on the house of David, and on the dwellers of Jerusalem, a spirit of grace and supplications; and they look to Him Whom they stabbed, and they will wail over Him as the wailing over the only son, and they will be embittered over Him as the embittering over the firstborn."

¹⁷ Now, coming to himself, he averred, 'How many of my father's hired men are being cloyed with bread, yet I am perishing here of famine!" ¹⁸ Rising, I will go to my father and declare to him, "Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight." ¹⁹ No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men."'"

³⁰ Yet when this son of yours came, who is devouring your livelihood with prostitutes, you sacrifice for him the grain-fed calf!'"

¹³ Now the tribute collector, standing afar off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his chest, saying, 'God, make a propitiatory shelter for me, the sinner!' "

⁴⁴ No one can come to Me if ever the Father Who sends Me should not be drawing him. And I shall be raising him in the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets: And they shall all be taught of God. Everyone, then, who hears from the Father and is learning the truth, is coming to Me."

²¹ What fruit, then, had you then? - of which you are now ashamed, for, indeed, the consummation of those things is death."

¹⁰ For sorrow according to God is producing repentance for unregretted salvation, yet the sorrow of the world is producing death." ¹¹ For lo! this same thing-for you to made sorry according to God - how much it produces in you of diligence, nay, defense, nay, resentment, nay, fear, nay, longing, nay, zeal, nay, avenging! In everything you commend yourselves to be pure in this matter."

³ (among whom we also all behaved ourselves once in the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the comprehension, and were, in our nature, children of indignation, even as the rest), ⁴ yet God, being rich in mercy, because of His vast love with which He loves us" ⁵ (we also being dead to the offenses and the lusts), vivifies us together in Christ (in grace are you saved!)"

²⁵ with meekness training those who are antagonizing, seeing whether God may be giving them repentance to come into a realization of the truth,

³ For we also were once foolish, stubborn, deceived, slaves of various desires and gratifications, leading a life in malice and envy, detestable, hating one another." ⁴ Yet when the kindness and fondness for humanity of our Saviour, God, made its advent, ⁵ not for works which are wrought in righteousness which we do, but according to His mercy, He saves us, through the bath of renascence and renewal of holy spirit, ⁶ which He pours out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Saviour, ⁷ that, being justified in that One's grace, we may be becoming enjoyers, in expectation, of the allotment of life eonian."
